I'd suggest re-doing the polls and add all weapons. What everyone thinks is best is pretty subjective I guess.

 

For example I'd say best rifle is the Grinlok because it fits my playstyle but isn't in the primary poll.

Synapse/soma/vectis, AKStilleto/AKlex, and dragon nikana/fang prime.

From what I see the more popular choice seems to be Soma - Angstrum - Dual Ichors. easy mode ftw lolz.

Anyway for me:

Primary:

- Boltor P > looks good, sounds good, sexy ROF

- Paris P > headshots are so satisfying

- Braton P > when Boltor P can't handle infestation

- Ogris > for when I'm lazy in Defense missions

Secondary:

- Dual Cestras > Fun to use when modded correctly

Melee:

- Orthos Prime > Sexy polearm, wide AoE

- Dual Ichors > If you use formas on this, you're doing it wrong.

Before the 2.0 update, sure there were BEST weapons...but now, no single weapon rules them all.    So this whole thread is pointless and only proves what people like...as they say it's subjective to the person voting.   Because if I had my vote, I'd say there is no better weapon than a penta, period...not even a soma or boltor or brakk or angstrum or anything beats a penta to me....but I'm sure others will say something else is better.

I prefer Akmagnus over everything else, that incredibly high status chance is hard to leave for something new.

 

But Castanas beats it easily. I don't have my Castanas forma'd and it's taking me past lvl 60 enemies in t4 with very little to no trouble. But If I'm not doing high level void runs, then I just stick to my Akmagnus.

My favorite primary and best in the game IMO is the Latron Prime.

My favorite secondary weapons are the Despair and Marelok. I use either one depending on whether or not I want to snipe or throw knives at faces.

My favorite melee are the Dual Kamas. Looks cool and great dps.

The question is a bit subjective as best is sometimes dictated by mission type and what you are facing. If the question was if you could only have one my answer would be simple.

 

primary:        Boltor Prime

secondary:    Despair

melee:          Glaive Prime ( people may ask why.. fun factor of 20 on a 1-10 scale, dmg is more than adequate, but simply nothing can come even remotely close to matching it in utility )

 

Luckily I'm not limited to only one option cause late game I'd miss Paris Prime or my Vectis.  I still love the Akbolto and thinking about an AKbolto Prime is like a wet dream. As for melee I prefer Dakra Prime to Dragon Nikana, Bo Prime and Dual Ichors are both great also.

 

I hate Orthos Prime. I also am not fond of the aoe noobtubes penta ogris etc etc etc.

I mostly use:

Primary: Latron Prime & Penta. Currently putting forma on my Paris P

Secondary: Marelock & Angstrum(akstellitos(are nice too)

Melee: Dakra Prime,Serro<33333333333333333333, & Dragon Nikana

 

Sidenote i think every elemental weapon is best when modded right except the dual ichors...they don't cut it for me.dual zorens are way better imo.also working on getting an amprex.

 

Edit* Kogake are nice for its slide attack(see a heavy gunner and kick them afar.if they don't die it gives you time to kill them before they get up)really useful

It doesn't matter if you forma a weapon 5 times. It'll still be inferior to something with better stats and equal forma, and more or less garbage for final tier enemies. It doesn't matter how much you forma or mod an MK 1 Braton, it's still inferior to the Soma.

Melee: Obex PURELY for asthetics, I use sweetfx and other light mods. Placing fire damage mods in makes it so my hands look on fire. This+sweetfx makes for impressive visuals

 

All weapons are good, its all subjective, high level defense/survival isnt the only benefactor ect.

 

I use weapons that complement my playstyle and warframe, which is exclusively saryn for farming(those venom spores aint gonna pop themselves) and running and gunning up close.

 

In short; use what you want, everything's viable
