Infinite "please Wait" When Starting A Public Mission

Hello, this happens really often and is very frustrating combined with an older machine that may or may not crash the game.

Steps to recreate:

Set your matchmaking to PUBLIC;

Start a mission;

There is a chance that the "Please Wait" window will just stay there until you forcibly quit the game.

I didn't see others complaining about this, maybe it's just me?

It's not just you, it's happened to me often enough on random public matches.

Sorta like this? Had to kill the game, sat there and was unresponsive.

Best ever when you're about to miss out on an alert and you're set public and that happens, eh? :)

The game isn't unresponsive, it has animations and all running normally, it's just that you can't do anything.

Well, that's the definition of unresponsive. It doesn't respond to anything you do. But I have in the past left it in this state for 5, 10 minutes+, etc. and come back and it's completely frozen/locked up. At some point it often does completely lock up such that sound, animations, etc no longer work either. I never wait that long any more though because often it has a good chance of locking up the whole machine if left frozen too long. Which means a hard reset and disk maintenance for me.

This is still a thing.  Keeps happening to me and to people I know.

The steps above replicate it pretty well.

Note: Go onto a real, regular connection to duplicate this, not a fancy souped up, supper fast connected lab you have set up.  Replicate it by going to an Internet cafe, or a LAN gaming center and do it from there from a real connection.

Maybe it's time to retire the 'Please wait...' altogether.
