Kethus
Hello, this happens really often and is very frustrating combined with an older machine that may or may not crash the game. Steps to recreate: Set your matchmaking to PUBLIC; Start a mission; There is a chance that the "Please Wait" window will just stay there until you forcibly quit the game. I didn't see others complaining about this, maybe it's just me?
TheBulitt
this is happening when the host cannot upload at the required 256kB/sec to host a full squad... my friend at best gets 75kB/sec from his ISP and once we get a 4th he crashes and we all get booted
CedarDpg
I didn't see others complaining about this, maybe it's just me? It's not just you, it's happened to me often enough on random public matches. Sorta like this? Had to kill the game, sat there and was unresponsive. Best ever when you're about to miss out on an alert and you're set public and that happens, eh? :) Edited August 3, 2014 by CedarDpg
Kethus
The game isn't unresponsive, it has animations and all running normally, it's just that you can't do anything.

Well, that's the definition of unresponsive. It doesn't respond to anything you do. But I have in the past left it in this state for 5, 10 minutes+, etc. and come back and it's completely frozen/locked up. At some point it often does completely lock up such that sound, animations, etc no longer work either. I never wait that long any more though because often it has a good chance of locking up the whole machine if left frozen too long. Which means a hard reset and disk maintenance for me. LMjai
Happened to me a few times, now I only play mission on friends only me being the host. I would love a button or option to make me host my own games (public).
DeMeritus
This is still a thing. Keeps happening to me and to people I know. The steps above replicate it pretty well. Note: Go onto a real, regular connection to duplicate this, not a fancy souped up, supper fast connected lab you have set up. Replicate it by going to an Internet cafe, or a LAN gaming center and do it from there from a real connection. Maybe it's time to retire the 'Please wait...' altogether.
