ONiMETSU_Z
I think we should have gotten Dual Nami from the start, cause what the hell kind of pirate carries around a cutlass and a dagger?

ShadowFighter88
I think we should have gotten Dual Nami from the start, cause what the hell kind of pirate carries around a cutlass and a dagger? Historically it's more practical than two full swords. It's why most of the dual weapons in the game are a sword paired with a shorter blade. Use the shorter one to defend then strike with the main blade before they can reset their guard. Or fend off their weapon with your sword, maybe even tying it up, step inside their reach then give them a dagger up the belt.

The shorter weapon was for defense (hence why it is called a parrying blade or parrying dagger). BY catching the opponent's blade, you can stab them more easily with your longer weapon. ShadowFighter88
Yeah, couldn't remember which was the main method but it's not like they would have used the dagger exclusively as a defensive implement (they'd just use a buckler if they were just after defence). Just would've been the main method with the dagger-stabbing being a backup.

Even back then...there were some people who just liked to stack Serration and Heavy Calibre...uh I mean, Sword and Dagger :D

Anyways, on topic: Skyla solo would be awesome. I enjoy single daggers, but the ones we have look really goofy to me D:
LadyScootaloo
I think we just need BETTER daggers to begin with. Single daggers are much too ineffective. From copters to damage to range to knockdown, they're generally ineffective....

BY catching the opponent's blade, you can stab them more easily with your longer weapon. In the case of the Nami Skyla, the second scenario is much more likely. Kris blades (which the Skyla is) are designed to be stabbed deep into the opponent. Fun fact: Stab wounds from a Kris will never properly heal.
