(PSN)ArjunHarikumar
for example a weapon of 100 physical damage( assuming that all of them is puncture) and if you add maxed hellfire 90 percent fire damage we would get 90 fire damage adding up to a total of 190 damage now if we add puncturing hit 30 percent extra puncture damage it would make it 130 damage now if we add maxed hell fire it would not give 90 percent of 130 fire damage instead it would give 90 percent of 100 damage do you think that all buffs to physical base damage should affect elementals

direcyphre
Multiplicative scaling? Sounds a bit OP, though that has been one suggestion for the absolutely terrible blunt/puncture/slashing mods on most weapon types.
Quizel
That's one thought process, another would be to make that puncture mod scale up to 100%, across all weapons (or 90% if it were 90% of total base dmg) 30% is a joke and other than the fact the mods themselves take less mod capacity(only positive), I can't ever see these being useful endgame and just dilute the drop table. These mods are an eye sore to see in the arsenal when modding up a weapon. Edited August 5, 2014 by Quizel
FillyHarmonic
Eh..... that doesn't seem right. Serration, Hornet Strike, Pressure Point, and other "base modifiers" make sense because they add a % to TOTAL DAMAGE per shot, for the most part. but what you're asking for is a alteration on how the mods stack up, thus, probably having a need to rebalance all of the game's weapons. So I must disagree right now. The math is fine. Damage is fine. Get better mods. Grind. Pay plat for cores/mods.
