Green laser door/barrier blocks selectively (bug)

Screenshots were taken before the Update 5.3 - "Blazing Embers", but the issue might still be valid.

There are some topics about the confusion about those green laser barriers, but this one has gone one step further - while I could walk through the door without any restriction, my teammate, who was carrying a special item we had to deliver to a location, couldn't pass through the door and told me that he was blocked by the GL-barrier. I've seen how he was knocked back while attempting to walk through and died twice, although for me the barrier wasn't there and I could walk both ways without being hurt (even by something invisible, so it wasn't a graphical glitch).
