It is a high powered, semi-automatic weapon with an emphasis on medium to long range combat. The ranger rifle has two different firing modes: Firing from the hip gives you rapid fire with moderate accuracy (10-12) and some upward recoil. Aiming through the scope improves accuracy to nearly pinpoint, plus a large bonus to critical hit chance, but your rate of fire is extremely low.
