(PSN)xX_Nymaatre_Xx
With the Xbox now able to play Warframe and is on the same patch as the PS4 I would like to know if it is was being considered if the devs was thinking about making Cross platform possible? or if there going to wait until the Xbox and Playstation caught up to and stayed up to date (patches) with the PC until they cross platformed them or if they are even considering cross platforming at all.Thanks. Cannamancer
Cross platform was an earlier idea for Ps4 and PC only. Xbox with Ps4 will happen when Sean Connery runs for President. So never lol.
(PSN)theelix
Cross platform was an earlier idea for Ps4 and PC only. Xbox with Ps4 will happen when Sean Connery runs for President. So never lol. In the news today... Edit: We all know Sony </3 Micro$oft. So that doesn't allow PS4 and Xbone cross. Fixing up an update for PS4 is what really makes the gap for PC and PS4. Everyone keeps saying Not to mention it takes Sony ages to allow it past cert. When it takes, at most, a week or so. I've not seen them carry a Warframe update for more than a week and a half. It takes roughly a month for them to make the update for PS4. So no, it's not Sony's cert, it's the fact that it's a ported game. So, Xbox to PC isn't going to happen either unless they get better teams for the consoles. Like, a team that's co-producing the update and converting all of it to console code or whatever at the same exact time as the update's being made. So that it doesn't take DE a month to make the update. I'm not saying that it's DE's fault, but it's DE's fault. Not in a bad way. It takes for ever to make the update because they can't just give us the same thing PC has, they have to move and add stuff and it seems like they basically have to rebuild the update from scratch. I'm not a gaming programmer but... I've tried to make a simple web browser before in some stupid program. It took me about an hour. And that's just to get in something to connect and download a web page and put an address bar at the top. That's like twelve or so lines of code. So, a game as complex as Warframe... I'd think it'd take an exponential amount of time more than making my crappy web browser project did. Sony just has people play it for a while to see if it's broken enough to send back. ClockworkSpectre
or if there going to wait until the Xbox and Playstation caught up to and stayed up to date (patches) with the PC until they cross platformed them or if they are even considering cross platforming at all. Xbox and PS4 will only ever be caught up to PC for at most a week. PC gets weekly updates so they will always be ahead. The way things are going I wouldn't expect to see cross platform ever. noveltyhero
Not anytime soon. Wish it would be possible though, higher playerbase and all but it would mean that PC updates are slowed big time, awaiting Sony certs and all. Unsure about Micro$oft's system though, so XBox and PC does have a chance :/
