Is Phage Worth Getting?

I'm almost to Rank 6 and I'm ready to craft the Phage. Is the Phage good/worth it? I'm currently using a Latron Prime and I love it so far. Do you think I should get the Phage or something else?

Yeah nobody else seems to be pointing out the flaw in the idea of Heavy Caliber for Phage. Nearest thing I guess is Vicious Spread, which is well worth using in my opinion, as it doesn't limit the amount you can focus the beams, merely their default spread.

 

Anywho, yeah it's a really cool weapon in my book. Really interesting design, good damage, fun to use, and you can adjust the focus of the beams to hit as many (or as few) targets as you want. I wouldn't recommend taking it against the Infested though, as they have a pretty hefty resistance to viral damage.

Phage is good if you are a supportive player. It can kill enemies quickly especially with the Viral proc and it can end bosses quickly too, depending on your status chance.

Yes, Phage is a great weapon, with great DPS and staus when modded correctly. Absolute beast in clearing corridors, when modded for punch through and with heavy caliber.

Agreed, I will be crafting that when I get to Rank 6 along with the Soma. BT I am only Rank 4 right now.

I like it and if you mod it to do more viral it can be a rather nice weapon. But the targeting takes getting use to as it has a extremely wide spread until you manually narrow it some.

Aye it's a fun weapon, at least for me. And since vicious spread only makes initial spread bigger, and doesn't affect the speed at which you move it it doesn't matter, basically another point blank.

 

But if you won't like the mechanic of spread controling level it to 30 and don't use it. It has great damage, great status chance, but if it annoys you it's not worth it :)

Radiation+Toxin+Viral on Phage is extremely lethal for all enemies.
