Good Frame For A Bowman Build And Another For Aoe Build

Question

so i am thinking about what gear should i be going for, due to the fact that i dont know all the weapons and warframes and doing so on the wiki for example would take a ton of time, so i will ask the guys who did so, why re invent the wheel?

I am looking for two setups on two warframes, one which weilds a bow and either throwing daggers or stars and a melee weapon capable of AOE. i prefer dual swords and daggers (no problem if it does with stance).

Other setup is capable of Very good AOE to use on defense missions, with weapons suited for that task, i have no idea what are those weapons.

so to sort this to make answering easier:

what i need to know is

1 warframe good with bow setup

2 good bow

3 good throwing daggers or stars

5 warframe with good AOE and defense capability

6 the weapons that can fit with the AOE role (which syncs with the good AOE frame suggested in point 5 :D)

I would really love if you put the ultimate setup and the in between steps (not just start with the legendary weapon or something, i am just starting :) )

thanks in advance.

Thanks guys for the help, all the above questions are answered but one which I need to rephrase:

4 I need a melee weapon that can kill a lot of guys at short time and I prefer dual swords/ dual or single dagger (looks cool) while browsing wiki I stumbled on stances that has aoe combos. I guess that's reason of confusion since most melee don't aoe without stance Afaik. So from what I read I think dual heat sword are good with the stance that gives spinning attack, as a start . What you guys think and what will be a better upgrade?

IMHO

1) Loki works well for a silent weapon

2) Paris Prime or Dread (it is a matter of taste)

3) kunai are easy to get hold of

4) dont know any AOE melee weapons, the silva maybe for its drop attack. but stick a maxed reach on a long weapon.

5)so many frames do AOE on there own, rhino, volt, mag, etc

6) ?

1. Banshee with Sonar build

2. Paris Prime and Dread are the best ones. Paris will be also fairly good.

3. We have only three of those. Despair are probably the best. Kunai are strongar, than Hikou, but Hikou have faster firerate

4. That would be the Heat Dagger and Dark Dagger. those are alert-only weapons, though. Karyst maybe. There are no Slash-oriented daggers, Dark Dagger deals Radiation, and Karyst deals Toxin, though. The rest is puncture-centered. Also - Dread deals Slash and Cernos deals Impact, so not every bow is puncture.

5. Rhino. People can say it's a cheap method, but id you're looking for CC/AOE/tank - it's your frame

6. Don't know, really. Use whatever you like.

I recommend you browsing Wiki and looking at videos that are under most of the weapons, you can get the basic grip on each one this way and chose the ones, that suit you the most.

Rhino could be good for you bow setup. Alot of people may suggest stealth farframes, but i find a rhino with good strength and efficency, with iron skin and stomp, gives you good protection while lining bow shots, and has stomp fo kill the masses of weaker enemies. Slot a few speed mods if you feel slow. Obviously prime bow is best, but otherwise i'd say paris, as puncture is the most versitile element (armour and bots). Stalkers throwing daggers are the best. And for melee? Dunno about AoE, but orthos / orthos prime has a wide range and basic attacks will clear space, and the spin attacks good too.

As for AoE for defence, nova / hydro. Hydro is good in def, and fun to. Nova has good damage abilities, plus in later game where the ability damage falls off, her ult makes enemies take 300% more damage.

Edit: ps, for AoE weapons for defence, see: ignis, ogris, penta.

1. You have Banshee with Sonar, that does insane damage, which is a bit overkill but who doesn't like seing 350K damage pops up

2. Paris Prime and Dread, but I would recomment Paris Prime, it looks much better. It is made out of gold, so it is a good investment :P. Puncture or not you will still do tons of damage to any faction anyway.

3. Pretty much those above, Hikou looks cool, and with despair you have 2 pouches one the side that might not look good on any frame.

4. Fang Prime, it slashes everywhere so it is kinda AoE

5. Mirage with Hall of Mirror & Eclipse & Prism(for AoE) build. She Does a tons of damage, it is insane, equip any weapon on her and it will become AoE. With Eclipse when you are under light you can deal almost up to 500% damage with any weapons not including HoM. And if you feel like taking a bit to much damage, you can go in shadow, and the damage is reduced up to 95%. Rhino is ok, he is good overall but you don't really need any tactical play or skill to use him, I wouldn't say Rhino is cheap, I will just say that he doesn't suit my playstyle (no offense Rhino user). I think your playstyle fits better with Mirage, play like a ninja. ^^

6. Any explosive weapons, with Mirage it will be a frame drop fest. Attica is fun with Thunderbolt, or you can even use thunderbolt on your bow, and it becomes an AoE weapon, with Mirage it has higher chance to proc. Perfect, so you don't need 2 different weapons.

You'll be taking on weapon fire while you aim your bow for headshots so when I go bow-hunting I like frames with good shields.

Mag was my starting frame and I didn't get to know her well since I was learning the game while leveling but now I am having a blast with Mag Prime.

Pull for cc

(careful with coop players though, some get angry for nothing when you pull their prey from them)

Shield Polarize for AOE damage vs Corpus (useless vs other enemies)

Bullet attractor to switch from AOE to single target

(aim above the target, arrow should hit the head without too much precision in shots)

Crush is fun with lower level enemies but does not scale with level so it is useless late in game

(but animation rocks and I just love the soud effect)

Mag does not have much love but I find her fun to play.

Zephyr is one of my favorite bow-wielding 'frames, partly because Tailwind allows her to reach some insane perches, partly because Turbulence + great Shield + Health stats make her incredibly tanky, and partly because she just looks so darn cool with a bow. I feel like it fits her 'frame better than many others, but Bows are top-tier weapons regardless.

As others have said, Banshee is also an amazing bow-wielder and can deal some of the best damage in the entire game w/ Sonar. Definitely recommend.

I have lots of fun using bow-turned shotgun with mirage's HoM. At one point, I can even kill just by using minimap (just turn to face the target and shoot. without aiming from the 3D part). HoM brings new handling, styles to old weapons. Too bad at the expense of aiming (I find the mirror images interfering with situation awareness and aiming in general)

Yes, hopefully they will do something about it. It is okey if you are facing just one direction, but when you run around it is a bit annoying
