(PSN)Strifedecer
Now, the case has been going on since ages. Elemental damage, such as fire procs, and the ice in Orokin Towers, should not affect frames like Ember and Frost respectively. No. Just, no. See, what the frames are capable of, all those elemental attacks, are effects of their power. Frost channels moisture and vapour, he doesn't literally create ice. The Tenno inside the suit manipulates a certain type of energy, which, with the help of the Warframe, he/she channels into ice, poison, fire, telekinetic forces, or creates matter directly from energy, such as Excalibur's Radial Javelin. So, what we experience from fire procs, etc. are the effects. If enemies spewed ethereal Void energy or something, then it would make sense if the Warframes/Tenno were unaffected, or rejuvenated. Instead, we directly are affected by the damaging power of flames, the toxicity of poison, etc. Hope this clears things up. (PSN)Strifedecer
Guys, its basic physics. When you see a red box, its because the energy from the photons is transferred to the atoms of the box, and excited electron are released, which upon reaching your eyes, produces a sensation, that the brain defines as the colour red. Nothing we feel or experience is direct. We only experience the passive results of everything around us. Most of the space in an atom is empty, yet a brick is hard and solid due to electrostatic forces. Once again, we experience passive results. Its the same in the game. Tenno has energy. Warframe channels energy into element. Not element to element. Energy to element. The suit can only channel Void energy from a Tenno and recondition it. It can't channel a block of ice. Etsoree
If enemies spewed ethereal Void energy or something, then it would make sense if the Warframes/Tenno were unaffected, or rejuvenated. That doesn't necessarily mean we're immune to it. We were asleep/in cryo for a long, long time. Maybe since the Towers have been active for an extremely long time, the Orokin defenses there that we fought and slaughtered adapted to our defenses. Maybe we were like that at first, which is why we could kill them with our actual physical bullet weapons and blades, but energy doesn't hurt them. They can use it on us, though, and it works. We just don't know if it works on them yet or not as well.

Kamal965
Tl;dr for the physics illiterate: We channel it; we direct the energy. we don't create the element. Hence, it's logical that we're affected by fire, ice, etc. If we were hit by energy, then it would make sense for us to ignore the damage.
