Can People In The Same House Play Together?

we are both online and when i play with other people im fine. When him and i try and play together we get failed to join. Hes redownloading t he game now and we will retry but could being on the same router be a problem? We should be ok with different ip addresses no?

Meh you could both play in the same house.might be a problem with whatever.

i assume the options for the XB1 version has the same settings as PC.

 

each client that's running inside the same network needs to be set to a in/out set of ports that the other instances of Warframe aren't already using.

 

 

in short, you need to change the ports that Warframe will be used on. you can't both be using the same set of ports.

 

 

 

the reason for this is because one 'household' generally has one IP Address, rather than every machine on a network through the same Modem having separate IP Addresses.

Anyways, if XBox is the same as PC, in your options, there should be a something like #### & ####. With this, have one person change it, and it should work. my brother and I used to play Warframe together on PC until he quit playing, and that's how we did it.

Think you may be able to avoid the need for port forwarding if you use uPnP.

not an expert though. (I've disabled port forwarding totally after I enabled uPnP on the game machine as well as the router)

im on xb1 and have a linksys 6200. I know how to get into my router settings but thats about it

but it seems that xbox 1 may have problem swith UPnP (if the author is correct...)
