I Like Rhino. But I Don't Play Rhino.

Mainly because this game seems to have a serious dislike for him. I like his stomp, it's fun to use. I like his Prime oook with the Rubite skin from Steam.  I don't like how he blocks your gun from view though, it screws up my aim alot. His Iron skin, while weaker at higher levels, is fun because it gives you immunity to stagger, which is literally my most HATED THING in  this game. It's not a fun mechanic, in ANY GAME EVER.  Taking control away from the player is ALWAYS an awful idea. Especially since there has been times I've been stun-locked for over a minute (QT+RAge save me, but lol, it's possible)

 

I don't use Roar or his Rhino Charge. But I like his still human form, but bulky nature, while a sleek design.

 

However, I don't play him. Simply because...you know if you do, everyone else in the match is like ":Oh look, there's a Rhino player! Can't play any other Frame, so he plays Rhino!"

 

It's really a shame. I feel like we should all focus our hate on Nova, or perhaps Nyx, who literally can screw you over with their abilities, rather than poor Rhino who is just easy to use. Rhino shaming has to stop. Rhino's are Frames to. They deserve rights just as much as you do.

 

You never see anyone above MR5-6 using Rhino, not because they don't like them, but because we're all in Frame High School and you totally carry less weight if you play Rhino. You could be MR16 and be using a Rhino and people will S#&$ over you for that. I feel that way about other things like the Boltor Prime, Marelok, Twin Ichors, ect. I never use B.Prime for those reasons to.  

 

Like you can be the most helpful player there, explaining stuff to people or giving them  legit advice, but if you're a Rhino, you usually get a snarky response - not so in other Frames.  Most of the best stuff in the game you can't use without being crapped on, something I've only seen in Counter-Strike with people using the AWP, everyone goes "Oh look, an AWPER!"

dont agree with putting focused hate on nova or nyx.....

nova is perfectly fine the way she is...and she does not come put as commonly in missions as rhino does....she has already been nerfed plenty of times....nova is extreme team play now compared to what she used to be before...before she was nuke and take all the xp...but now MP is a lot more team oriented in terms of affinity sharing....MP is definitely not as strong as it used to be when it first came out

 

nyx is perfect the way she is right now as well....you cant have the best of both worlds (in terms of chaos and absorb) when playing nyx....you usually have to pick one or the other

 

also wasnt there already a rhino thread earlier? this feels like a duplicate of the other one

Dude...Nyx is awesome, how does she screw everyone over? Rather she's saving everyone else's &#!. The enemies point their guns at each other, not at you. I though this was a good thing, correct me if I'm actually wrong, which I'm not.

 

But no, some of us just have better frames to play than Rhino. I find I am of more use to the team as a Loki.

 

There isn't Rhino hate, there is RhiNOOB hate. Which is different.

 

You can play Rhino all you like...as long as you don't do nonsensical things like charging head on into the enemy and ignoring enemies that fire at you because of Iron Skin. That is what people hate...that noobs use Rhino as a crutch...though quite frankly there are worse crutches we continue to use (i.e. those who are always using Shade, all day, erryday)

Btw you can have both Chaos and Absorb. I run a Nyx with Mind-Control, Chaos and Absorb. Works very well in T4 and Up and I've defended easily up to wave 70 (though that was with an organized party). In PUGs I can easily do up to wave 40 with Nyx.

 

Chaos and Absorb together does work. You just need to learn how to use it :)

I've honestly started to feel that people regard Valkyr similarly, since it's also from one of the earlier planets, and obviously the controversial invulnerable ultimate that people tend to talk about as if "Oh, all they can do is mash 4."

 

That's the sort of thing DE needs to look at and address, so that every warframe feels viable and desired in endgame content, and doesn't have some aspect of an ability that people rage about (I'm also hesitant to plop down Tornado with Zephyr unless it's an emergency, or else people will get their panties in a bunch. It's like all they want is a Vauban and mobs in a neat tiny controlled cluster, and anything else is sacrilege.)

I think a lot of people are missing the point.

 

Rhino is viable end-game as the survival specialist.

 

Valkyr on the other hand is less desired because she only has a save herself skill.

 

Unless she maximizes warcry, then yes, it could be better but most Valkyr players don't. So yeaaah seeing a Valkyr end-game is even rarer for me.

No we would still have these issues, perhaps about a different frame but the issues will persist.

Dunno how you build your Nyx, but Absorb should be run with -power strength and maxed out range. Why? All damage comes from enemies instead.

 

You can also max out duration and counter with Continuity. Which gives you a -20% overall on your Chaos...which actually is helpful. Some players play the full -duration, but I prefer just -20%, -10% is too long for my liking.

 

This particular build means I can run Corrosive Projection and never run out of energy.

 

Mind-Control restores hp.

 

It is the ultimate best :D So good that I never play it...like my Mirage because it gets boring.

 You kinda lost your credibility with me when you are asking people to stop hating on Rhino and then say they should hate Nyx or Nova instead. Shouldnt we just instead let people play what frame they want without mocking them for it? I dont care what people play, just as long as they are good with it. I do however not like playing Rhino as i think his a generalist among a bunch of specialists who do their job better than Rhino.

I like all the Warframes actually. Rhino is fun. I really like Saryn for her debuffs and such. And if you color her right she looks like a poisonous frog ^_^

I skipped Rhino while leveling and went straight to Valkyr for my melee/tank character. Never have regreted it. I suggest you do the same and play what you want/enjoy the most, despite what people may label or judge you as. Stay gold, ponyboy!

I thought you had a dilemma here, but in fact. You'r emotions from others, stop you from forfilling you'r dreams. Of wanting to play, a quite fun warframe. Do what you want, but with knowing the usual outcome you can difuse the situation quite easy. 

 

Me for example, I went Vanilla ( Vintage ) Rhino, no emblems, no overdone "look at me" colours. Just a simple plain modified Rhino with nothing more then what he comes with out of the owen.

 

Players look at the lone rhino with a hammer in his hand thinking "he looks aight" in the manner of knowing you wont be stomping the entire spawn of enemies. They want some fun aswell. So limit yourself on that aspect of being a teamplayer. And you will soon be perished by you'r true tenno manners. Use roar in the first few set of gameplay waves or times, the team will like you for that and they will do a lot of things they might find enjoyable to continue without leaving because of the rhino. When you hit heavier times of the gameplay, it's you'r time to shine. You will ofcourse do a stomping of the masses of enemies from time to time, but dont rush to a teammates location and kill them all. Those kind of things make players sad. They were doing fine with their location, untill you came in and stomped it all. If a teammate is down or about to die (toggle squad icons by pressing Z as defaut) When they are about to, or are down. You come in and save the day, thats when they look up to you.

 

Playstyle has a lot to offer on the manner of another disliking the frames, only you can make that change. 

 

 

 

TL;DR

 

Essentially, you define the style of play, you define if the other will like/dislike you as rhino. Play as a teamsupport, with buffs and stasis. Be their saviour upon the fallen. Pretend you are teaching you'r kid how to ride the bike. Be that kind of player, I've done it in the past and I do it today. People like that. My time of being the best is not over, but my time of making others their better self has come. Continue my legacy and the community of players should be fine in the future. Embrace the power of the warframes, and the fallen will come to you. Greeting you upon you'r grace. They were the fallen, you are their saviour and senpai. Master of blade and gun. You'r learning has come to an end, its time. To teach.
