ok, so i just unlocked sedna and phobos last night. sedna says it is lower level so i thought i would start there, but the only mission available to me is a mobile defense mission. i sit in queue for 15 minutes and nobody joins so i figure ill just solo it since i can pretty much walk through everything up to this point with little to no care about dying.

 

yeah, well this is a brick wall.

 

the mission is obviously not scaled for solo to full group, at all. there are so many rockets, grenades, heavy gunners, and various other pure death flying at me there is no way i can survive the damage they are putting out. if i play defensive to survive i cannot keep them from destroying the terminal. 

 

i went from walk-in-the-park to impossible and now im sitting here wondering what im supposed to do, because its the only mission available to me and phobos is much higher level so that is probably laughably hard. 

 

what is with that scaling? oh hey, lets jump up the difficulty by 300% when the level rank on the mission is 1 higher! briliant!

Mobile Defense is one of the heaviest enemy-spawning missions there is....

 

Not a good choice to judge a planet by.  I suggest clearing that one with a team first.

thanks, but i am just going to go play some apb. i am so pissed right now. i have bought plat and traded for good mods, been working on getting things forma'd, and so on and so forth. to get completely wrecked like that when on the previous 2 planets i could almost just stand there and laugh at the enemies is just absurd. i didnt expect it to be easy, but that was just a joke. 

 

its no wonder 90% of the player base plays rhino/frost/loki

 

if you dont have some gimmick to completely avoid enemy fire you get wrecked. 

 

my rhino parts will come out the crafting station and i can have him in a few days. i guess ill join the crowd and spam iron skin ftw.

If you think you can clear the entire starmap without Loki/Volt/Valkyr, then I'm not surprised.

 

But honestly, use cover and your weaponry. Solo IS after all solo, and it's harder than getting carried by Rank 14's+.

 

Somehow I managed to easily demolish Eris and Ceres only using my 100% status Grinlock and Oberon with no Forma/Potato.

Even the pluto dark sectro defense everyone used to like usually only has a couple squads on it.

When you're targeting an enemy, their level will appear next to their name in their health bar.

 

I'm pretty sure the issue is NOT that the enemy level jumped so much more, rather the amount of the enemy on the level you're fighting.  Mobile Defense has very high spawn rates.  So those enemies which posed a small challenge in earlier levels, the Grineer Napalms, Heavy Gunners, Scorpions, there will be MORE of them.  Even though their level isn't that much higher.

 

Mobile defense is best tackled with a squad.  Don't rage at the game, which was designed to be multiplayer, for being too hard to solo...

Ask for help in region chat, I always help people when they ask nicely. I even help random that invite me randomly. Most people will...For some reason most Tenno generous and are in most cases just looking for other people to hang out with...

Warframe has a serious issue with scaling that never seems to come up in Livestream questions. There is unquestionably a "wall" that froms when you get to sedna or Uranus and the only way to get past it is to grind... and grind and grind. Which is difficult due to the RNG.

 

I think its something everyone feels but never discusses.

Easy way to solve that problem:

Nova with power strength maxed, enemies will take a full minute to even begin aiming their guns. 

Everyone knows Rhino is just Rhino, said and done.

Frost is MADE for Defense missions, so if you hate the mode that much, give him a whirl.

Valkyr, with the correct build can dominate MD due to her taking no damage.

so as long as you're Rhino you can do anything you want, but don't even think about going for any of the fun frames if you want to complete the star chart. That's what I'm getting from this message and it's a band aid fix, with the band aid it self being something that needs fixing

It's definitely possible to clear the star chart without any of those frames, in fact, none of them are even on my list of "go-to frames", I've been clearing the last few missions I still need to do for 100% on the Star Map and I'm mostly using a Saryn, Mirage and Zephyr.

The occupation of Dark Sectors depends heavily on time-zone and how messed up the taxes are at the time you're checking. With the crazy taxes lately I don't know what people have been doing, it doesn't appear they've gone back to the old mainstays like Xini as they are mostly empty nowadays as well. Maybe start of the school year has pretty much killed activity in Warframe?

I'm central time zone - and warframe has been dead almost all summer.

I've just now started using the recruitment channel - and it is working well.  It just used to be so easy to find groups with the auto-matching system (one of the reasons I stuck with warframe early on) but those days seem to be over.

Its fine for me. I'm at 800-1200 conclave and I get people all the time.

The hardest missions to solo in this game will be mobile defenses, endless defenses, and interceptions for the sole reason that it's no longer just you on the line.  Lotus, I remember when Earth was still a series of asteroids, and one of the required nodes was an endless defense.  Getting to even 5 waves seemed impossible with my weak little Braton and Lato at the time.  Gotta understand I had no serration or hornet strike and I was operating on the worst defense tile in game - the asteroid.  Heated charge was pretty much my damage increase.  Not-good-times.  Finally beating it felt good, but this node was definitely a bad difficulty spike.  Shortly after Earth became, well, Earth, the node was replaced with interception, and it got a whole lot of flak for it...

This game has a Solo option ergo it MUST be balanced around both MP and SP. If this game was supposed to be MP only then there wouldn't be a Solo option
