~Saryn Ultimate Nuker Build~

Question

Hello Tenno,

I've always loved Saryn for her ultimate, after a good amount of tuning, I'd like to share dis build wit yall.

This is a Saryn Miasma spam build, tuned to spam with maximum efficiency and +57% additional Miasma power.

It tears through rooms of enemies quickly, you'll have loads of fun insta-killing mobs with just the click of 4.
Unfortunately Miasma damage doesn't scale, as it will always do the fixed 4K damage (before calculations). 
Nonetheless, it'll melt any enemy up to around level 30 in one hit.
Viable for all missions, unless you're running 1Hour+ survivals or 100wave defense missions, Miasma damage will fall off.

I believe this to be the fastest nuking frame in the game. 

Loads of fun to cast while Rhino is about to Stomp, Volt about to Overload, Mag about to Crush, etc. before all Warframe aoe nuke ults.

~Flow                     300 Saryn Energy Pool
~Vigor/Redirection/Vitality (I run vitality most, as Saryn health scales high and allows more health orb pickups to energy)

~Fleeting Expertise    -60% Miasma Cost, -60% Miasma Duration
~Streamline MAX       -30% Miasma Cost, offsets Blind Rage, allows 25 energy Miasma cast.

Arcane Chlora Helmet   +10% Stamina, -5% Miasma Duration

After finally coming to this build, I had already forma'd her defensively. I'm thinking of forma'ing her more to fit the mods from this build neatly. Still working to max out that equilibrium, I find it makes flexible nuking gameplay.

Natural Talent and Blind Rage are waste of polarity slots. You can use thoose two to compliment her high hp and armor values. It's really all about play styles, but after playing dozen of Different survivals and def missions that 1 sec miasma cast doesnt hurt at all. Expecially when SHE IS IMMUNE to damage while casting it. It's all about positioning in right spot while casting, so you can get as many foes as possible. When +50 lv waves of enemies start appearing, positioning becomes a problem. Unless you got Kubrow with stealth or Trinity within your group, you hit bleedout pretty easy. Also her slow movement speed and lack of mobile abilities doesn't really help.

 

It's all about preffs. Yolo

 

But back to topic, this really sounds like ''killsteal'' trolling build for some random missions. But this is exactly where Saryn shines the most, so all i can say it; Well done sir, lets all build frame around this one skill so it gets nerfed over QQ threads by unhappy stampeding Rhinos in near future!

 

Also if it makes anyone feel better Miasma builds focusing on reduced duration and power efficency are almost as old as frame itself. Don't be surprised.

Yes Teardanos, this build shines in killstealing, rather simply killing quickly in general. Killstealing is just the extra fun :)

Miasma's reduced duration build definitely goes as far back as the release of Saryn. 

I like the level 2 blind rage, I see it as a free Intensify with no drawbacks. For the purposes of swapping, I definitely swap blind rage first, as Miasma insta-kills without it anyways. 

I hope this build gets nerfed, just to see if DE actually pays attention to how Saryn is simply a one trick pony. 

She's under the radar still ;)

Excalibur got nerfed.

Okay, only momentarily but they still plan to do it anyway, and here's where the problem lies...

 

I lost a lot of confidence in the developers since that Excalibur patch. Despite how unanimously we keep suggesting Radial Javelin, Slash Dash, and Super Jump get buffed, and say Radial Blind is his only good ability, they do not buff any of the three ailing abilities and nerf his only viable ability. That said, it's far better to keep making helpful suggestions on how to round the warframe out to be more fun using other abilities, not to advise people to pidgeonhole on one ability. The Oberon buff happened because the majority of users on this forum made a massive push to acknowledge improvements for all of Oberon's abilities. The Excalibur nerf happened because despite how bad most of his abilities were, everyone just kept repeating "Radial Blind is good."

 

DE pays attention to both the good and bad on these forums, but they really don't know anything about moderation, so try to acknowledge other abilities for reworking, because it's very accurate to say all four of Saryn's abilities need a rework.

Blind Rage bumps the damage done on Miasma from 3342 to 4037, around a 21% increase. Given that it also adds health and damage to Molt I would leave it in, but I agree that it's not needed for lower level content. Hell, depending on how you define 'low level' neither is Intensify.

Yep. Blind Rage is pretty viable. Though, I would use Rage over Equilibrium though. Idk what to replace NT w/ cause there's isn't much else if you are focusing on a Nuker build.

a great compromise for this build to extend range and keep +30% intensify damage is to swap out equilibrium for a lvl 2 overextended. 

with this, you will trade the bonus intensify from lvl 2 blind rage for essentially an extra maxed rank stretch to make +90% miasma range with +30% miasma damage.

vs

+45 miasma range with 57% miasma damage.

Keeping the mods at lvl 2 is critical towards maintaining the 25 energy cost efficiency build to keep miasma constantly spamming at minimum cost.
With this in mind, you can spec for more damage or more range. This simple mod swap for more range helps clear most if not all stages that don't require you to hardcore survival/defense or fight level +35 enemies.

Molt is an awesome ability and very interesting when you know how to use it and when to use it. 

I would really like to use Overextended but you need to sacrifice a lot of damage. So I usually use stretch only. And sometimes I do also use Ennemy Sense, which works quite nice with Miasma, especially if you go with full max blind rage where you need to time your nuke

furthermore we have a new awesome mod call that works a lot better than Blind Rage... :)

The problem with Saryn now is even more apparent. Now with an update that allows all warframes to use all four abilities all the time, Saryn is the only warframe that can be built to make her other three abilities completely worthless.

 

Besides, Saryn is outshined by other warframes if you want to use this strategy. Ash has stronger Shuriken and Blade Storm, and will only lose Smokescreen. Oberon becomes stronger in Reckoning, Smite, and Renewal, but loses Hallowed Ground. Nyx doesn't even need the base damage of Absorb, but can gain it back with this mod. Even if you don't choose so, Nyx outputs infinite damage for considerably low cost and makes the room attack itself. Other warframes behave similarly.

 

While you can build Saryn like this, she really does lose all the use of her other three abilities, which is now very bad given that other warframes keep their other abilities, and make them stronger as well.

 

 

At this point, DE pretty much solidified Saryn into the all-or-nothing choice with the new content.

 Adding anything more than Transient Fortitude or Fleeting Expertise to reduce duration for Miasma quickly reveals a point of diminishing returns.

It's almost as if DE planned this with a cap on duration (or Miasma), or simply that the diminishing effect makes this strategy come to a screeching halt--at some point, it's capped off.

Blind and transient fortitude don't stack

 

Yup. I dreaded all of the nightmarish scenarios that would occur if players were allowed a 2.84 power strength multiplier, but thankfully Blind Rage can not be equipped alongside Transient Fortitude. So the max power build is only achievable with Blind Rage.
