noveltyhero
Hey there, I just wanted to say I love the improvements for performance. I am not kidding, you really boosted up to 30fps on my machine and that is a lot. Considering integrated graphics ^^ Using DX9 and this performance boost is seriously brilliant. Pst. I wouldn't mind another 20fps so I can play in fullscreen :D By the way, any chances of making water completely non reflective? As well as overall lighting settings? EDIT: Also an option to completely disable shadows would be nice :/ No but really, thanks! ^^ Edited September 12, 2014 by noveltyhero
-HAKUNA-YOUR-TATAS-
Yes. I agree! I'm really happy that the developers consider entry level/older spec PCs so everyone can enjoy Warframe. (I have a laptop with Intel HD4000 graphics for when I travel.)
Casardis
I noticed a bit of improvement too. I play with SweetFX and when I'm at the arsenal, I usually lose a few FPS with the injector on. However, now it's pretty much as smooth as without injector prior to the update, while disabling the injector would make it no-drop.
sneakatone
does this mean in the launcher settings you have DX10 and 11 unchecked. I also have a low integrated rig. ( intel graphics 4000 and i5 processor)

( intel graphics 4000 and i5 processor) Yeah, but I also played on windowed where I resize the window below lowest resolution. My set-up is sort of like yours, strong CPU and weak graphics..FX-8120 here :/

[DE]Glen
As much as I'd like to take all the credit there are many unsung heros in this battle. I've been playing on both a Intel HD 5000 and Radeon X1950 lately -- turn off Runtime Tessellation, Local Reflections, Anti-Aliasing, Anisotropic Filtering, and turn texture detail down to low and the game runs pretty good and still looks great -- you often don't have to hit it with an ugly stick to make it handle older hardware! I mean to keep it lag less and beautifull of course , sometime my fps and frame rate goes nuts like 70 frame and 5 fps for few second
[DE]Glen
Sounds more like a CPU problem than a GPU problem; one quick thing to do in situations like that is look at the floor: if your frame-rate stays terrible then it probably isn't your graphics card and tweaking these settings won't help. OkniolasPrime
I have same sort of problems whit AMD Radeon HD 6450, sudden FPS chances even standing still and looking at the floor. Ketec
well gpu seems a bit old and a quite weak one as well. Its a few generations old everyday, casual gpu - not really meant for games. CPU is more then fine - im running an even older 4 core amd. But i do have HD 7850. and ram - just check if you hit above 6gb or not while game is running. Also are you on dx9 mode ( launcher settings)? Superkoco
I´m totally agree with OP. I´m playing with a 9 year old pc. Core2duo 1.8 E4300 with a radeon HD4650 and 3,5 gb RAM. I play with a decent 25-30 fps in 90% of the tilesets. Only have problems with earth (10-15 fps), but honestly, I can´t complain with my crappy pc. So thanks, your job with low-end machines is really awesome.
Apex_Nemachode
Just curious, but at times I feel like the game is lagging. I have a Nvidia GeForce GTX 760m and even though the In-game FPS counter says 60fps, I feel like i'm lagging :( Edited September 13, 2014 by BLACKRIDERDEATH

Using 9, 10 or 11 may work differently. Not sure why you'd get that kind of behaviour from the game. Also your memory clock seems ridiculously low, not that it matters too much :/ I think the biggest problem there though is using Windows 8.1 ^^ Not sure what could be the issue, but then again I'm not an expert :S

DuiMike
Dunno about an FPS increase (I was already over 100-200 fps with everything maxed out) but the change to Dx11 has decreased cpu temps, which is more important imo. Apparently Dx11 offloads more tasks to the video card, who knows or cares lower cpu temps = win (in some cases 10 less degrees Celsius which is quite a lot).
