Combos

im not talking about animations per say .... 

but about collision system  , interaction with the enemies  ...

 

combo :

 

kick one enemy 

stab another one and leave the sword or what ever in him 

kick another 

pull the sword from the second one 

throw the sword in another 

shot with your sidearm the next one 

and big finale 

dismember the last one 

 

and there should be an some kinda indicator when to push this god damn E

Functionally and in battle, I don't care how skilled you are in hand to hand combat, disarming yourself in the way that you suggest is simply a bad idea and is begging to get you dismembered. If you leave your sword in a body, sure you can kick or punch another attacker, but a horde? Not so much. You would get overwhelmed and killed.

Also from a mechanical standpoint, this would require that DE make animations for EVERY SINGLE POSSIBLE ENEMY ARRANGEMENT. That simply isn't going to happen.

I don't know what that's from, but I remember seeing a ton of those gifs on the forums before melee 2.0... I'm sure the devs have seen them, and some of the scythe animations definitely look inspired by that type of fighting.

 

I believe it's from RWBY. Maybe. Idk.

Yeah, it grinds me to see that Malicious Raptor has a combo where it looks like you grab a person and stab them but it never really happens.

If we're thinking of the same combo, it actually is possible. It's just hard to pull off.

Hard and Light attacks, DE plz. 

Also it's from RWBY, produced by Rooster Teeth. It's okay. Season 1 was pretty rough but I can tell they took criticism to heart for S2 and I imagine it will continue to get better as the team working on it gains experience.

Yeah, it is a terrible wannabe anime called RWBY. The clip is from the red trailer:

 

The trailer is pretty cool, but the series is terrible.

I became obsessed in one episode

 

The characters can be obnoxious but theyll grow on you

 

Like Nora

 

Who doesnt love a rocket launcher that turns into a big &#! exploding boom hammer?

 

Anyways

 

Combos feel like they slow down combat

 

Most arent mobile and the ones that are usually do it in a bad way

 

Theyre slow clunky uncoordinated and less efficient than simple E spam

Also I feel that combos don't really have eye candy like in games like DMC, Ninja Gaiden. I used Kronen's combo where you throw them and the issue is you don't see the actual throw :/ your Warframe literally blocks the whole view of a combo that the animations are sometimes meaningless
