What Is The Point Of Alerts Seriously?

I don't understand the point seriously? What is the aim? The content is not challenging in the slightest - It is essentially a free reward for sinking your time (10 minutes) most of which you alt tab in every minute to press one button to wipe out all the mobs and maybe activate some life support or copter through the map breathing in the mobs general direction.

 

I know what you are going to say. The fanboys will tell me "But you can make it difficult yourself - take off your gear and then try it" lets assume that was actually hard... You want the playerbase to handicap themselves making a tedious task even more tedious. What?

 

Just give the rewards to everyone logged on and be done with the stupid thing, This game needs less timesinks and more at least one piece of challenging content.

Alerts reward you for running them

Just giving the rewards to everyone logged on is a very stupid idea. Some alerts are harder than others, with the advent of the tactical alerts, we should see more difficult ones in the future as well.

You're complaining that occasionally they're giving you a better reward than normal for doing a slightly more difficult mission?

I think you answered your own question, mate. A free reward for players who happen to be around at the time.

As for why they don't give the rewards out with no mission attached, well I guarantee you if they did that there'd be people making threads just like this with the exact opposite complaint. So really, does it matter? If you just want to click once and get stuff without all that gameplay hassle might I suggest a different game for you? FarmVille maybe?

It's a system to expand on. Think of the cred alerts as a placeholder. Proof of concept that other cool things could be put in with that mechanic.

 

DE has been pretty ADD in the last six months... hopefully U16->20 are going back and filling all this stuff out.
