This weapon is pretty bad until the 4th forma, and absolutely devastating at 5:

 

Serration

Split Chamber

Heavy Caliber

Speed Trigger

Malignant Force

Storm Bringer

Hellfire

Thermite Rounds

 

You want a little corrosion on it to be able to take down ancients and heavies quickly. You wont be able to run corrosion though until the 5th forma. All fire until then. Deadly

You can pull almost 32k with something like http://goo.gl/7GCGfl and max str Accelerant.

 

Edit: Personally I wouldn't run with Speed Trigger without also installing Ammo Mutation. But that's a personal preference.

If you dont want status you can use the full damage elemental mods.

Pretty much, Crit is only good if it's 20% and above even then you'd want min maybe 25% at least at base since that's what crit scales of off.  (wish it added extra 120% then everything would have a red crit.)
