Volt's Overload

Is there anything I should know? Everytime I use it it doesn't do the 1 sec animation with him flying and doing 3 pulses of damage. 

 

I get is a .5 sec of him trying to float then one small ring of electricity coming out. Is there a button I should press?

Sounds like you need to level up the Overload mod itself. Unlevelled it does weak damage and only one pulse, at a really bad range.

Volt will levitate into the air for a short time, releasing the Electric Pulse(s).

 

basically how it works.

 

Electronic components (such as terminals, light fixtures, etc)in the Range of Overload will arc and hit Enemies around them though, which is a huge Damage boost, does more Damage than Overload itself does actually.

It also forces an Electricity proc onto every enemy hit by it - This means that it actually scales by density of the enemies as well - almost like Molecular Prime does.

There we go, your overload is unranked. Chuck a few fusion cores or spare abilities into that and you're good to go

While you're at it maybe you should rank up Electric Shield a bit? It's quite effective in the late game
