Whitakker
Well, I started this game on PC about 2 weeks ago on the behest of a friend, and I thought I'd just put my name out there. This is a really cool game, and I hope to have a lot of fun with it. Any newbie tips/tricks you guys have would be welcome.
X3Evanescence
Greetings and welcome to Warframe! For now, concentrate on unlocking missions, and get the Karak, Kunai and Orthos once you hit Mastery Rank 2. These are solid weapons you can use to progress across the solar system. Good luck! Imaru
Don't waste your starter platinum on revives. Spend it on slots or a potato (orokin reactor) for your starter warframe. Take it slow. If you bomb rush your mastery you will just get burn't out faster. Find a clan. They will be more likely to help you out than randoms.

Retrikaethan
if you buy plat, spend it on weapon/warframe slots. in fact, id say you should buy plat for just that purpose. once you have enough of those, buy cosmetics. everything else you can get by playing the game :D

Zoid25
Prepare for lots of grinding, but also lots of cool stuff. This community is one of the best there is, dont be afraid to ask how to do something. Also make sure to check the wiki at warframe.wikia.com

OverlordMcGeek
If you want to spend money on this game go for it and get cosmetics. Cosmetics are the only thing that are not available in-game. Everything else is free.
Petersheikah
These are MY PERSONAL TIPS: 1) dont spend your plat. 2) before creating a weapon, check on Youtube and Wikipedia the weapon's stats and the comments. 3) Don't build the Soma, Rhino and Ichors and all these insane weapons. Before you make them be sure that they fit your play style. I personally like semi-auto guns and burst rifles. But everyone has his own preferences. 4) Check some videos of Calypso Gaming, Soviet Warlord or Mogamo or others experienced players, be sure to read lots of guides, because the game can seem a little bit hard if you don't know anything. 5) Try to don't build the first weapon you get. If you find a Gorgon as login reward, check the wiki and the reviews first. This is very important because lots of newbs spend all their resources for shìtty weapons. 5) Try to make some friends or get a clan, interactions with other players are important in this game. The clan im in has a lot of players who always help new players. If you want to join reply to this post.
Climaxstriker
If you have any platinum, spend it on a blue item or yellow item, both potato shaped item called an Orokin Catalyst, or an Orokin reactor. install those on your warframe and weapon. and you the mod capacity that scales with your level is doubled. We generally call them "potatoes" due to their shape. Reactors can be called Yellow potatoes and Catalysts can be called yellow potatoes. Hope I helped :
Blackpoc
A tip for you. Kill the dogs first. Oh wait! Thats for dark souls
Egg_Chen
Welcome. If you only have starting plat, do not buy Reactors or Catalysts, only buy slots Every two weeks will see an alert for a Reactor or a Catalyst following the Devstream. If you buy plat, then spend it on slots, slots, more slots, then some Reactors and Catalysts if you can't wait for alerts.
inthephonebox
Welcome Tenno. Always nice to hear another brother or sister has awakened. Enjoy relearning your old powers and familiarize yourself with the state of the solar system and all the technology available. Find a clan to join, they will aid you and open up new possibilities. And remember to have fun. Fellow Tenno have already given some great advise, so all I feel I need to say is welcome!
BritishBob
Prepare for troll and bad players. Aim to finish the star map before you worry about primes or end game gear. Work with what takes your fancy until you know when you need the end game gear. Enjoy the game before you look at become the best at it.
Just4Games
Don't ever get the Boltor Prime. (Not a newbie tip but if you don't wanna ruin your gameplay, listen to this tip) :D Anyway, welcome.
Whitakker
if you buy plat, spend it on weapon/warframe slots. in fact, id say you should buy plat for just that purpose. once you have enough of those, buy cosmetics. everything else you can get by playing the game :D Well, f***. Wish I had figured that out sooner. Was it incredibly stupid of me to start out Excalibur with the Paris, Lato, and Bo? Cuz that's what I did...Don't get me wrong, I finished the tutorial missions without a whole lot of difficulty, but it seems the moments where I'm beset by 5 armored lancers at once isn't very helpful with the loadout I've got. Knowing that I need to grind for resources and drops to make other weapons when I have some (relatively) primitive gear is a little disheartening. Monybags33
Glad too see new players as always too Warframe, always need new people. As for tips I have 3 for ya: 1. Never sell anything in the market that you have no idea how much its worth. 2. Try out the Paris or any kind of bow, their really fun and deal tons of damage. 3. Find a good clan too go into, many weapons in the game ask for you being in a Clan. Or at the very least find a good group of friends too play Warframe with, the game is so much better that way. Enjoy! PS. On your arsenal choices personaly for me that's exactly what I had picked myself, the bow is perfect for Impact damage on the Grinner so you should be fine once you put on something that can let you fire faster like speed trigger for example. Hope this helps. Edited September 19, 2014 by Monybags33
