Crashing On The Event?

Im not shure if its beause of the event or because i went to the wiki (which i have noted crashes every computer i go to, even school computers the first time its opened) but every time i do the event i get a hardware failure, could you look into it?

Your crashes look like corrupt cache -- in the launcher settings you might try verify download cache.

EDIT: well, that was awkward, the "verify cache" crashed as well... I'm so sad.    WAR-310653

 

EDIT 2: OMG NO NO NO :( now everytime I open the launcher It crashes, is a sad day indeed.

 

Should I erase the game completely and reinstall? :/

I crash every time someone triggers the two bosses. I have verified cache through the WF launcher and it still crashes.

I am currently redownloading the client through Steam and will probably have to repatch as well.

I've been playing the event (Operation Gate Crash) many times, publich matchmaking and solo running. In both cases there's some point the game crashes DDDDDD: at first i thought it was 'cause of the many many players playing the event, then i thought it might be the display settings... lower them to medium; but game still crashing anyway.  What's happening? Same thing with Cryotic Operation, couldn't paly at all.

I have now tried verying cache and reinstalling the entire client. Still crashing as soon as the two bosses are approached.

I also crash when the mini-boss is encountered.  Really annoying as I want to get the rewards for this event sooner as I don't get much time later in the week.  DE, I know you are looking into these bugs, but can we please get some sort of progress post, even if it's just saying why the crashes happen and that you are working on it.  Godspeed DE.

Just tried a few more games, seems like a 50/50 chance to crash during the boss fight. Hope its fixed soon.

Just another post confirming the crash occurs after going through the portal and engaging the bosses.

Used the error report thing both times I crashed.

I'm just here to say that I also do crash when the "mini bosses" appear shortly after finding the first "laser" that requires a key.

 

Funny part, I tried to report the crash with the error handler; error handler couldn't connect and thus no information was sent. Wish I could help more.

 

(Tried the missions twice, crashed twice at the same point)

You shouldn't have to do a full reinstall. Instead you should Download the installer and run it, as it should replace your launcher/launcher files. Once the launcher starts again you should verify the game cache.

 

I'd also suggest doing a HDD check for corrupt/bad sectors.

I've been having some VERY severe frame rate lag when the bosses were reached, and noticeable framerate lag when me and my team of Tenno exited the Orokin Derelicts into the other half of the event. You guys should really look into that...'o_o

Thanks Letter13! But it's kind of late, already reinstalled, I've tested all my Hard Disk, they're working as intended, as well as my memory ram. The reinstallation didn't fixed the problem.

I have verify cache, reinstalled, and optimized cache. The game always freezes and crashes as soon as the two bosses are triggered. 

 

If there isn't another patch by the time I get home from work, I will try adjusting different game settings to see if it has any effect.

im having the same issue literally making the event unplayable and its really getting on my nerves. any other ideas on how to fix it?

also plz have it fixed fast enough for us to do the events it sounds fun and i love this game i dont want a reason to have to start being angry with the game

So... any of you guys could fix it on your own?Hopefully DE  fix the problem for all of us before the event ends.

Well what I was going to try later today is to try disabling subtitles (if possible). I noticed in the patch notes that there was something about subtitles they fixed.

 

After that, try the mission without a sentinel or kubrow. There was something in the patch notes about fixing some crashing issue with regards to those.

 

Someone mentioned that there's a boss 'cutscene' in the event, which is likely when I'm freezing and crashing. I would try checking if there's an option to disable those in the settings.

 

Aside from that, the only hotfix you might be able to do is try to join a game as or after someone triggers the bosses. If you can get in the game after the event that triggers the bosses and crashes you out, you might be able to complete and get credit for the mission.

 

I get the crash handler each time and have filled it out multiple times. However, after a couple times, I stop submitting them if I haven't tried anything new because it's the same issue with the same exact cause.
