So, now Grineer have this nifty Atterax whip.

Scorpion, that nice lady, now has a weapon fitting for her personality and charm in the Grineer inventory.

She deserves better than that lowly machete.

Now that we are at it, replace the cattle prods the Grineer carry, and give them machetes, which is one of the lousiest melee weapons in the game.

We could always go back to the sawblades.

How do I give 30 +1s?

I was thinking that the Atterax could be given to some kind of Grineer inquisitor/interrogator. Maybe he would be the "boss" of a timed stealth mission where you have to rescue an informant before the interrogator kills him with the Atterax, and then you'd have to fight said interrogator on his ground.

But this idea isn't bad either.

They're probably getting replaced by the Sheev, since it is called "grineercombatknife" in the game's data.

I'm pretty sure the Scorpion name is because of their harpoon attack.

Also since the Sheev was among the "grineer combat knives" artwork, i think it's going to replace the cattle prods for the Grineer as disarmed weapon.

However the Flameblade is in dire need of finaly getting his own signature weapon, i suggested giving them flaming sawblades but that thread went into limbo even before it reached it's second page. Just imagine seeing one of them dissapear in your view and then hearing the sound of a ciruclar saw behind you.

An elite version of the Scorpion could be created to wield the Atterax though.

We could always go back to the sawblades.

The Butchers just don't have the same feel to them. Sawmen were weak but at least you had the feeling you didn't wanted them to hit you.

I've been talking about this from time to time with my friends and sawblades were a lot more terrifying than the kitchen staff the Grineer throw at us now. In my opinion Scorpions should get Atterax, Butchers should be made back into Sawblades or something of the like and the Flameprods or whatever those units are called should get Plasma Sword as it does enate electric damage and is Grineer is design.

I like the idea of changing up some Grineer melee weapon options. So something like...

Sheev: Standard combat knife of all ranged troops. Lancers, Troopers, Commanders, Seekers, even Bombards, Napalms, and Heavy Gunners.

Machette: Butchers, Scorpions

Atterax: Perhaps a variant of the Scorpion with no grappling attack? I'm thinking a weapon like that would be perfect for an overseer type unit on rescue maps.

I also like that suggestion for giving Plasma Swords to Flameblades.
