Ketec
so i finally got to start with it - and what do i see on EARTH - out of the 5 games i had 2-3 rank 0 with mk1. Earth is beyond normal R0 player. And they are well experienced in void movement and combat. Could de actually do something to get rid of these people who farm event mods to sell them later? Like make it so that you have to be rank 4 to claim them ( can finish but cant claim until then). With some amount of min account activity in place (if that r4 was inactive for a month before the event for example).
Archistopheles
Why don't you just help them finish the mission? Or is it too much to step down from your high horse?
Letter13
Sheesh. It's not like Earth is a starting planet or anything. /sarcasm
noveltyhero
Make it MR 2, its enough work to justify the reward and the effort (can't do it in a day). I hate those too, because I know they aren't legit newbies >.>
trst
The thing is that they would have to bar the event from these players which will not help DE at all because new players will get caught up in it.
The66Monkey
not a bad idea, like so many events like these i have also seen a few people who idle at satrt hoping that the team finishes the mission,
GinKenshin
R0 players are just like you and me, they have the right to play whatever mission they want
Tatersail
tbh having players on alt accounts dilute the stupidly broken market is a good thing.
GehrigK
By doing this you run into to many problems with players who join and want to run with their clan and the like. Yes it can be frustrating, however if you do end up running into said people again just avoid doing the mission with them you do have a great deal of control when it comes to squad selection. I personally did most missions and events solo until I just absolutely needed the help. people have lots of ideas when it comes to Warframe but you spend may 2 to 3 hours playing a week or day DE spends an entire day 8 to 9 hours a day 5 days a week working on such issues. so please be patient the game is still in beta release and many great things are still to come and the game shows great promise. Ketec
but those aint your normal R0 players. They are fast made alts to farm the mods, sell and then transfer plat to main. This isn't about having to play with R0. this is about players who abuse the event. Edited September 19, 2014 by Ketec

If you're 100% sure, then screencap their name, and send in a support ticket. If DE catches them trading with themselves, they'll get the banhammer. sneakatone
I noticed a lot of R0 noobs when I first started the event but I dont know if they a all platinum mod farming free loaders as you say they are.

This isn't about having to play with R0. this is about players who abuse the event. How are you sure of this? I'm not saying that there aren't people who are abusing alternate accounts to farm the event mods, but to say that "Earth is beyond normal R0 player" and that R0 players shouldn't be able to do the event is absurd. Without being able to check their IPs, you cannot know for certain if they are alts or really good low mastery ranked players.

LocoWithGun
Who are those people that are lining up to buy +slash damage mods? This has been happening for a while and it makes sense for those pretty useful dual stat mods from past events, not so much now. But it's hard to do something about it apart from not allowing same IPs to trade between themselves. But that is really easy to circumvent too. You can't do much without hampering the new players along with exploiters. Edited September 19, 2014 by LocoWithGun
Gelkor
How do the R0 "alts" trade with themselves anyways, don't you have to be R2 to even trade? Edited September 19, 2014 by Gelkor
ePilgrim
This seems totally fine to me. There is little DE could do to prevent people creating subaccounts to farm up unique "vault mods" anyway. While my strategy is far different, it relies on the exploitation of the system.A week before a major update I'll grind T4 keys for Rare 5 core packs so that I can max vitality. With the drastically increased population I can sell my maxed vitality mods within 30 minutes for free platinum. It's lengthy but it's all that's left for Warframe for me.While they're exploiting account creation (in your hypothetical) I still don't think this is an "ISSUE" that requires action. Just don't let their schemes bother you. Unfair success can eat away at you when you focus on it. So try to focus on *you*.On the Earth + Event + Noobs comments... we'll all probably rule this up to "sad day for you". I mean no ill will when I say that, it's just some days are harder then others and I suppose today was one of those days for you. It's perfectly ninja to allow newbie Tenno to join events; even if they tease or contain high level content.
-Vane-
So? Let them play, they will still play better than an normal MR0 player right? From my experience all these players are real players, not some dummy accounts. Don't hate the player, don't hate the game, hate the system of account creation. trst
but those aint your normal R0 players. They are fast made alts to farm the mods, sell and then transfer plat to main. This isn't about having to play with R0. this is about players who abuse the event. Even if they play and act like they're not you still run in to the issue of people on their children's or sibling's accounts making sure that they're able to get the rewards in time. Yes there are people who make accounts just to farm the event mods but without some genuinely hard proof of that claim then there is nothing that you or DE can do about it without harming innocent players in the process. As for people going afk at the start of the missions, well, that is a separate issue entirely.

Davoodoo
I couldn't find an official statement either. My assumption came from the "Refer-a-friend" guidelines. So i assume its ok for them to farm event mods, theres nothing that stops them from making multiple accounts so as long as they earn the reward they should be able to keep it and do whatever they want with it. EdgeKasim
honestly...i read this and i dont see why you care so much...are you planning to buy or sell your event mods in the future and want to dilute the competiton? or maybe you dont like playing with rank 0 players who display a level of skill that makes them relativly nice to play with... if people want to create alt accounts and go through the hasstle to reach rank 2 with the alts and so on and so forth...the overall effort required for something that might or might not get them a little extra plat in trading for something basicly useless then why not, and if you dont want to play with these types of people...then why the hell are you playing public? there are far worse types of players lurking on the public arena as is and if you dont want to help event farmers then just go to recruiting and join a proper event team. i really dont see why people are careing so much about what others are doing when it doesnt really affect them in any way that cant be avoided with a simple click or two. _Je_Suis_Bruxelles_
With the outrageous prices for the past event mods, these guys are doing a service to the rest of the community witch missed an event. And if they make some plat, what's wrong with that? If I weren't so lazy,I would do it too.
