[DE]George
Yes, if you turn the master volume all the way down to 0, you will get no sound from the game at all. Double-check to make sure you have the slider all the way off. Options->Audio->Master Volume.

Actually, even with master Volume at 0 there is still ambient music that you cannot mute as long as Warframe is open. Possible bug perhaps? Shuuro
Actually, even with master Volume at 0 there is still ambient music that you cannot mute as long as Warframe is open. Possible bug perhaps? I've never heard such a thing before. Moving all my volume sliders from 100% to 0%, and they fully cancel out all sound that is intended. Music turns off all music, sound effects turns off the sound effects and the ambiance. If you're turning down master volume to 0%, no sound should be coming from Warframe at all. Here's a tip, if you want to talk to your friend and play Warframe at the same time, then turn the master volume down to about 10% or less. You can just barely hear the game and perfectly hear your friend.. given that your friend uses a good headset as well and can be heard clearly. Edit: Better yet, see the volume icon on the bottom right of your desktop? Click that, click mixer, and just mute Warframe entirely. Possible bug perhaps? I can vouch for him.^ Even with the master volume slider all the way set to 0, you can still hear some music. I've asked friends and some clan members to test it out and have the same experience. EDIT: It only plays the music during missions. Have not have it happened in the dojo or the Liset. It's not an issue, I just want to listen to music with no other audial interuption when I am playing. I just thought I should mention that there is currently an ambient music in which you cannot mute. I asked if it was intended not for a solution. Sorry if this comes off as rude, but I did not ask for your rude retort either, in which you so rudely suggested that I do not know how computers work for no apparent reason. I understand both the setings in game and out side of it. I have no idea why you felt the need to so rudely suggest that I am ignorant to such things. I never questioned your intelligence about your knowledge of computers. Some people don't know that, so I simply handed out that information. Again, I hear no sound at all when my Master Volume is at 0%, so it could be something different entirely. I talk with my friends daily while playing games, and i usually set the master volume on the specific game to around 10%, so I can play the game, and hear them speak. I wasn't trying to attack you what so ever, I was simply just giving the OP suggestions on what HE could do to minimize sound so he could hear his friend. As for using you as a quote, I simply saw that as mislead information. Master Volume SHOULD mute everything. No sounds should be comming from Warframe. If there IS sound still coming from Warframe even with 0% (make sure it's 0, 'cause sometimes the slider does not go all the way), then that is a bug. Shuuro
Alright. So my curiosity got the better of me. After messing around with the sound settings, all sounds in the Tenno liset are indeed, muted 100% In missions however, an ambient sound does persist. Going to try and make a video to show the comparison.
[DE]George
Yes, a video would help to identify the sound that is still coming through. There should be no sound coming from the game with the Master Volume slider in the Options menu set to 0.

I would have uploaded sooner but youtube was being.. well, it was being youtube. I was going to make a thread in the bugs section, but I think just leaving it here should be fine. MaximGorkiy
Mrs. Edit: Unfortunately, music is opposed still on 0%, however, still audible....I understand, that money DE must earn... Therefore, I would be glad if the correction of the music - problem comes with the next Kontent (update) have a nice work on it... :-) Edited October 29, 2014 by MaximGorkiy
