RCOAS
I'm talking about making a system where all the stats of the weapons and warframes are completely balanced. Think of it as everything is unranked pvping. A sub-arsenal for pvp. You choose from a bunch of guns and stuff purchasable with credits. About the guns, make it the same guns you can use for PvE, call it the specter variant ( Your fighting with specters ) or something. The guns do really bad damage.Primary Examples.Braton: 25 per shot with 4 shots per second? Latron: 40 per shot with 2.5 shots per second?Strun: 80 per shot with 1.5 shots per second?Secondary Examples.Lex: 85 per shot with 1 shot per second?Lato: 12 per shot with 6.5 shots per second?Viper: 8 per shot with 15 shots per second?Warframe health and shields are all reduced to 200/100. Armor is reduced to 0 for pvp.Stamina is somewhat so you can only do 3-4 consecutive melee attacks.Lets talk about melee. Melee is able to stagger making you unable to attack. Melee with high attack speed can stunlock you. However you are unable to melee with low stamina.ExamplesSkana: 35 damage with 0.8 attacks per second.Scindo: 60 with 0.6 attacks per second.Ceramic Dagger: 20 with 1.2 attacks per second.Finally. Abilities. Abilities are extremely powerful and if spammed, they cause massive destruction. In Dark Sectors, we control specters. Specters are copies of warframes. They probably don't have the abilities. So maybe we can get these universal abilities the specters can use with a cooldown? Examples:Flashbang: Throws a grenade that blinds all enemies nearby.High Jump: Similar to Excaliburs super jump, but only three times as high as regular jumping. Summon: Summons one shadow Grineer/Corpus that fights for 20 seconds. And some more stuff. This is just a short idea of what I think would balance PvP. Its not finished and I know people are always going to complain no matter how much balance is put in. But I think this is a bit better than PRESS 4 GOD MODE PRESS 4 SPAWN KILL. You can't expect everyone to know what pvp build to use and how to mod weapons for pvp. But you can expect everyone to know how to point and shoot. InvaderMEEN
Solution: Apply Dark Sector PVP balancing to Conclaves/Dueling. Problem solved.

onemoonlight
All frames with same hp/mp/armor/stam/move and conclave-only weapon variants. That's not only much easier to balance, because all the changes apply only to the pvp weapons without touching the pve ones, but it's more accessible to new players and much more competitive, rather than the 'look how many formas i have on my weapons' model. I really like the idea. Sounds very much like arenas in GW2 or crucible in destiny.
(XBOX)ShapelessHorr0r
Ok, fine, I'll stay on topic. @OP: It sounds as if you are taking from Destiny in that each weapon is "nerfed" so that it is not better than starting weapons. It could work, but it kind of says "f*** you" to the older players.
onemoonlight
(...) it kind of says "f*** you" to the older players. How? Care to elaborate? Does it work like that in destiny? Do players that started from day 1 feel #*($%%@ when someone better than them that started 10 days later kills them in an even pvp? IMO it says 'F*** you' to more competitive players. Im actually really curious how good an old and slow S#&$ like me is compared to other warframe players. Players, not their equipment. If id ever care how good i am compared to equipment of other players id queue pve. Edited September 23, 2014 by onemoonlight
Auramaru
I would love to see *another gamemode like the one suggested* implemented into the game, so long as we still have our good, ol' cluster f***ing mess of conclave. I enjoy conclave because it allows a great GREAT variety in that you can find things that other people don't know about and use it to win matches. However, it is a two-edged sword in that the variety is also cut down in regards to weapons: I love to use the Vectis, but it is no match for a Latron Wraith because LW has just as high damage, has bigger clip, and faster fire rate. So once again, I would be interested in seeing a complete lockdown on balance, so long as we (the players) can adjust settings for lobbies to either have "Standard" settings, or "No Holds Barred" (play whatever you want with whatever mods, doing whatever damage) settings. Conclaves as they are right now are a lot of fun. They were even better before watering down in, was it update 14? I hope we get wall slingshot back to where it was, and no more nerfs (damage) falsely called balance. More choice, more fun. Another separate mode brings even more load on De, when even just regular conclaves and DS conflicts proove to be a handfull so actually -1 @ OP . .Talia.
We Conclavers can only hope that any future changes to PvP don't mess up even more our beloved Conclaves. I would really love to get new PvP game modes, like the one suggested in this topic, but only if its a SEPARATE game mode. Conclaves already suffered enough with the so called "BALANCE" (or band-aid) for the Dark Sectors PvP. Edited September 23, 2014 by RexSol
Rubbertubtub01
If there was a separate mode that doesn't let reflex guard and such mods work, a lot less people would play conclaves because they would die to much because they were dependant on these mods. This separate mode would have to be thought about until a balance between everything is met.

And tinkering with few numbers such as damage and attack rate values would take minimum effort and thinking.
