Missing Trails For Tysis Projectiles

I recently picked up my Tysis once more, after letting it rest for a while. I noticed that suddenly the projectiles no longer have trails, making aiming much more of a chore than it used to be, i doubt this is intended, see picture below.

 

 

I have not lowered my graphical settings since the last time i used the Tysis, so we can rule that out as a cause.
