Best End Game Solo Side Arm?

Brakk, lex prime, or marelock. I haven't personally used the marelock, but I know the other two are really good

Edit: ninja'd.the angstrum is still pretty good afaik, but that small ammo pool will make you want a primary at all times.

In terms of procs, the akstilletos get up to ~70% with all 4 event status/element mods, and lex prime gets to ~90%.

The ammo economy on the akstilletos is good if you fire in bursts.

Also, Tysis, seriously procs become so important later on, and my Tysis either halves armor or puts them on their behind with every shot.

Its elemental, so no procs going to IPS, all to the elements of your choice (and the base corrosive).

it actually deals mostly whatever you mod it to do... and hits pretty hard and can get a very good proc chance

Why would Marelok be good for void if it deals mostly impact damage?

The Pyrana !! if you looking for a Sidearm what can handle a single very heavy amored target http://goo.gl/ISjj2V

The Wraith Twin Vipers, if you want go Side arm only, it has the Strongest Damage output. The ammo consuming is very bad, but you can compensate it with the Pistol Scarevenger aura http://goo.gl/ZQ5Ovt

The Tysis is still very usefulll for very high lv Void enemies with its 3 way Proc http://goo.gl/0H59XN

The Stug can be modded like this.

The Merelok is a honorable mention, but its killing potential is too slow with the lever shoot + very low mag.

The Brakk used to be good but its Damage drop is to terrible, you must be in melee range to do serious damage to the enemie is not efectiv enought

Lex Prime ist strong though but the fire rate + reload sucks alot

I'm actually wondering if Tysis can kill 70+lvl Heavy Gunner with ease.

marelok goes up to 102% with all 4 event mods, which means 2-3 proc/trigger pull. Also, has ungodly amount of damage, so i stick with that.

i wouldn't recommend angstrum when solo, because you bear the risk to shoot yourself - with the amount of buggy things in this game, it is likely to happen

shure Tysis can but it will take a while for the proc.

But the Pyrana could instant kill them by using slash to instant health damage + gas = 100k damage + 50k continuous damage by gas+ slash proc.

On other hand Wraith Twin Vipers will reduce health + insane load of crit damage

There question is really too subjective for one right answer.

What content is being encountered?

What primary is being used?

What frame are you running?

What dual stat mods do you have access to?

What trigger actions are you comfortable with?

What's your skill level?

All of those things are factors in determining what weapon works best.

It can be the highest DPS weapon in the game, but if it doesn't fit your playstyle, skill level, mod inventory, or complement your primary,  it won't matter.

Play the best fit for your buildout and you'll get the most mileage out of it.

If you're honestly recommending Wraith Twin Vipers or Stug over Brakk and Marelok, you should probably stop giving advice.

I have tried many of the others and I still like seer a lot.  It is not top damage, but soloing higher level stuff, a long range headshot is worth a lot to me.  With the zoom in mod for pistols, you can hit stuff from so far away...   its not about dps, its about clearing a difficult room from cover when the occasion demands it.  Sometimes, its useful, esp if you are not totally indestructible yet.

If you don't need a sniper capability,  there are 5 or 6 other solid picks depending on your style and needs etc.
