(PSN)DesecratedFlame
Been said before, but with the news, a good time to reiterate, yeah? needed changes to absorb -cost 100 energy to cast -no energy drain -set duration that can be extended with mods (no energy drain mechanic) -can be toggled off early with no extra benefit and no energy discount

(PSN)DesecratedFlame
Care to explain? The main problem is that, last a checked, taking damage (even friendly) drained your energy at a high rate.
SwoleOfCinder
This is like returning Nyx's Absorb back to the way it WAS, and that was worse then it what it is now imo

(XBOX)Skode
The main problem is that, last a checked, taking damage (even friendly) drained your energy at a high rate. Its her best tool and you want to change it? The low activation cost has saved me numerous times because shes no damage sponge and even if activating it at low mana (or only using a small amount of it) doesnt pack a massive punch i find its the difference between getting space to get out of a sticky situation so you can retreat for cover (as chaos can be too risky in that regards for the higher magic cost it comes with) or her ideal and perhaps only weapon against unblockables which would otherwise be perilous to her fragile frame (Phorid screech for example... tap Absorb and you can avoid it completely). If they change Absorb to anything like you suggest i could well see me having a massive rant on the forums... my first. She is after all probably my fave warframe of all the ones ive played. (PSN)DesecratedFlame
Its too strong an option when its invincible Not really. It lacks any mobility, it roots Nyx in place, and to make the most of it you need to be smack-dab in the middle of a hoard.

BrotherIcarus
The corrupted gunners would like a word with you. I tested it with corrupted gunners. Not to mention that it still takes several seconds for several corrupted gunners (At about level 50-60) to deal 200'000 points of damage, given that that is not even the whole energy pool (less than half). pepsi-tan
The main problem I found is parasitic eximus, who drain her energy whilst mid absorb, pre-maturely end absorb which does no damage to anyone, and leave nyx in a middle of a massive mob to get eaten alive. If I could actually take 200,000 points of damage at the very least if my energy runs out I kill everything around me. I have always ran an efficient build, as I see no point in not running it, and even though damage drains energy, it does not do so at a high enough rate to render absorb nearly as useless as having a parasitic eximus around. Burnthesteak87
If you didn't notice they're taking away(or almost nerfing) immortalities with high reward for no price.First the Frost Globe, then Blessing... Hysteria is going to get balanced too.Imho the actual situation for Absorb is perfectly balanced. It has a cost that requires you to use it smartly and eventually stop it prematurely to get the best benefit. It's no more a dull spam immortality and absurd aoe damages whenever you want for just some energy.Feel free to disagreeing with me, but this is reality. Absorb was fine as is. I don't really see the point in getting a Nyx prime after such a major nerf.

Netsuki
I've used Nyx's absorb as a defensive option several times and see no problem in the current set up. I use Nyx more for crowd control than an actual offensive frame, and being able to pop Absorb in a critical situation is more important than using it as a powerful bomb, not to mention enemies can actually be drawn away from teammates or objectives thanks to Absorb, and with the limits imposed on Absorb, I can actually use other abilities like Chaos and Mind Control to play with the enemies. They clearly don't want Immortality with no cost nor risk, and that's called BALANCING. Everyone talking about a defensive tool... Chaos is a control defensive tool, Mind Control too.
