I think a temporary immunity to friendly fire (say, 5 seconds or so) would be a better compromise. If they stay immune for the whole duration, it becomes open to griefing (some Nyx troll MCing a target over and over with maxed duration, impeding exterminate or defense missions).

That could be fixed with them not counting as an enemy anymore

Have all the damage from Tenno dealt to the mind controlled enemy ONLY when Mind Control expires, like a mini-Absorb bubble on the enemy.

 

Enemy damage to their former ally still applies, so your new friend isn't an invincible tank for the duration :P

What if psychic bolts was replaced by a skill that made an enemy absorb damage (just like the old non-toggle absorb) and release it on end? Lets you protect your MC target, and gives Nyx a usable 2 as well as a damage ability. It would not stop player damage if the enemy was not MC'd (to prevent trolling by using it to protect aggressive CHGs or something.
