Ember Prime?

My clan members has been advicing me againts building an ember prime, they say that she is slow squishy and not very good because she only does fire aoe damage and she has no utility. Is this true? or is she actually worth it?

If you consider the normal sprint speed as slow, then yes. The only utility she has is accelerant which is a small 2 second stun, other than that, all her abilities mainly just do damage, however, she is one of the weaker damage dealing frames. It all depends on what you want, if you like burning stuff go ahead, I just don't recommend running T4 with her or any long term T3 like Survival or Defense.

I like Ember Prime, but the issue she has is the best way to use her is with corrupted mods, and if you mod for her 1 and 2 combo, you make 3 and 4 useless, and vice versas. Her 3 is useless 90% of the time as well (I'm being generous with that 10%).

 

I also find her a bit slow, and she is a bit squishy, but she still be used to great effect as long as you use Accelerant to insure your safety as well as increase your damage, which pretty much forces a Fleeting Expertise in any of her build.

 

I'd recommend building Ember first, to try her, and maybe pass to Ember Prime if you think she is worth the farm after playing the base Ember. If you have the parts for Ember Prime already, go for it. Just don't bother with Fireblast until it gets buffed.

Yes, I do believe she is worth it. You just have to play her right and to the best of her ability.

She's not a late game frame, that's for sure. The fact that you have to get relatively close to use her abilities effectively (world on fire/accelerant) combined with her squishiness is just a bad idea, but that's just my opinion. She's still a fun frame to play tho.

Ember Prime is a nice warframe, she destroys the Infesteds as Mag kills Corpuses. Just equip Fire Elements on your weapons (obviously combined with your usual main element) and spam Accellerant. You can deal HUGE damages and stun you enemies whenever you want.

As someone who mains Ember, she is worth it, but, is probably still the most underwhelming frame at the moment.

She's too soft to melee well.

Her powers are all pretty spam-needed to make them as effective as needs be.

She's limited to scaling in fire damage.

All in all, Ember is 'okay'. Not a good team player by most standards.

Not designed to handle lategame.

Not the best at any of her powers/roles.

 

Simply put, you'll be the worst frame. Still worth it, though.

I really like her looks, I customized her colors which probably made her look the best of all frames. But as others have said her skills are not that great, personally I would have her at the bottom of my recommended list.

if your clan members tell you that then they are probably those rhino arcane vanguard, loki prime and M prime nova losers, because they don't know how to play something else

let me give u some statics of my games with ember/prime:

ceres defense, got 400 kills just from using fireball/accelerant
dark sector defense/sechura, got 699 kills (there was a vortex vauban but still..) with using accelerant/world on fire (30 waves) with normal ember 

so if you ever seen someone tell you that ember or any other frame is no good, you have to know that they don't know anything about the game, because they anyone play "strong" frames (or what they think is a strong frame) 

on paper, yes, she's not that strong, 15 armor, normal speed and everything the guys above said, but you know what she has more than other frames......fun, and that's what warframe should be about

I got 600 Kills in a 30min survival by just running around kiting mobs and then stunning with Accel and using the 500% damage increase.   Was I super squishy? Yeah but when you can manage that you truly feel like she is a goddess of fire.

30 minutes is boring and you didn't say if it was T1 or T2 or T3 or T4.

Get 40 minutes T3/T4 with Ember Prime and we can talk about usefulness.

you do know that infested are weak against fire...right?

go do that against grineer, corrupted, or corpus and i'll be impressed

What do you mean? Saryn is a great frame, she's just understimated like Mag and Ember. Saryn is a Miasma Spammer, and combined with a shotgun her Venom is great.

Yep I have every frame at rank 30 and a miasma built is amazing against the corrupted the grineer and the infested.

Players told me the same thing and it turns out she's amazing. Accelerant is a short cheap stun that should be used whenever you enter a room. Some ppl like to use natural talent on her because of the long cast time of WOF but if you use accelerant before ROF you have that time and a boost in damage. She's a fun frame but I wouldn't use her in a T4 mission.

my problem with ember is, that she is so squishy, that without spamming powers all day she's dead. however, ALL of her powers need range, duration and strength too, which makes a corrupted build impossible, unless you add a high rank blind rage.

 

remember what i wrote on the beginning of my post? needs to spam powers + high blind rage = run out of energy instantly. i've tried to couple her with a nekros, literally desecrating everything, and still always run out of energy

 

so, aside from corrupted mods she still needs a lot of energy supplies, or a trinity, which takes 2 roles (unless you already wanted a trinity), or you don't do in endless/high level missions, so blind rage isn't needed

 

 

if you have the slot for her, i'd still build her, though - more frames = more fun!
