It wasn't hype that killed these games...just people had high expectations coming into the game even though the developers really didn't have such amazing products that people believed.

Games would have probably suffered the same fate even if it didn't have millions of people bearing on them, hoping to get an amazing experience.

A lot of games were destroyed by hype watch dogs, titanfall, and destiny etc

That's your opinion, not everybody thinks that these games were overhyped and thus were destroyed by the hype. For example Watch Dogs in my opinion was overhyped; it looked so promising and nice with all of the flashy graphics but was just a thinking man's Grand Theft Auto. That is MY opinion. As for Destiny and Titanfall... Destiny was advertised as the opposite of an MMO in my opinion, so everybody thought that it was to be something like a much more like the opposite of an MMO; but when you jump into Destiny, it has the same elements of an MMO, the grind, bullet sponge bosses, spread out enemies (it all screams MMO.) Then there is Titanfall... overhyped and people thinking that it would have so much content it became a mediocre game.

That is my opinion.

I don't watch Joe and have played Destiny myself it is a very good game. As was Titan fall, it was a very good game but it was just small.

Were as watchdogs was a mediocre open world game that was hyped to the heavens and taught gamers a lesson (at least for a short time)

Maybe you should watch him, he speaks the truth about all games, even if you do not want to hear it

Titanfall flopped horribly after the massive hype that was leading up to it, now it's all but forgotten. Raptr have had copies they are trying to get rid of that nobody wants.

Destiny isn't doing fantastic after all the hype leading up to it.I give it another 12 months and it will be dead in the water ... if not sooner.

Wildstar had a ton of hype, that started going wrong.

Watch Dogs was a terrible game.

Hype, gotta love it.

I'd like to see companies spend less on trying to market them and more on making their games decent.

As a person that plays titanfall (not suggesting you don't) there is freshplayers practically everytime I log in but I have to leave them because being gen10 mostly scares them off :(.

Destiny is getting ruined from the inside by Bungie bending to players shouting "OP plz nerf". If it comes to PC I'm going to play for a while then march over to the forums.

Watch dogs was alright it's practically a modern assassin's creed.

The games are decent it's the community the ones that over hype causing them to dislike the game, and the ones that shout OP when things are balanced. Titanfalll for example balanced but then people start shouting "OP because some guy killed me with it", six updates and so many rebalances because of these people.
