Is the in-game voice feature working for anyone?

I've already had the experience of someone talking to the squad during an online mission, so after that I tried to test the mic in the settings menu, but it's not working. I suppose I should see the slider become red/green when I talk, but it's not happening. The question is now, is it a bug for me, or is it working some other way (I've changed the key bindings, C is crouch ATM and I'm not sure that I've assigned any keys to the voice feature, but It should be testable in the settings, right?)?

Also, what's the meaning of the Mic Cutoff option and the slider next to it, what does it do?

My friends and I are able to use the in-game voice feature.

I too wonder what the Mic Cutoff option is. I'm wondering if its would not be for voice activated transmission as opposed to push to talk?

I can only guess as I haven't really taken time to test it.

1. So how exactly do you use it?

2. What happens if you activate the checkmark "Test Microphone" under sound settings, do you see the bar change it's color while speaking?

3. How do you speak to your teammates? Do you need to press a button to speak like a walkie talkie, or does the assigned key only switches between voice modes on/off?

Well I can only say that it is odd at the moment. My guess is that the programmers still have to work on it.

As far as using it my friends and I tested it while we were also on Skype. When we pressed C (the default) it seemed to toggle between speech and mute at times and other times it seemed to work as a push-to-talk. Since we were on Skype as well we were able to hear each other in echo to confirm that it did work.

When I checked Microphone I heard myself and saw the bar go up. Bare in mind that the game uses the "default" recording device as set in Windows. Same as it uses the default playback device too. (BTW it would be a nice feature to allow players to use other then defaults).

So if you didn't hear yourself when checking the test mic box, you should double check your Windows default settings.

Also I still have no clue what the cutoff does.

So this feature should be explained a bit more.
