Arxeand
Does anyone else miss their Kubrows? I remember the last few moments I had with my kubrow before I sent her to the freezer, I feel like I should bring her back out, but I dunno, I kinda need my money for mods n stuff... :c
darthdart
You can run 3 to 5 void missions to afford the six healing items. Don't act like the credits are the real reason you don't wanna use the kubrow.
Arlayn
I kinda need my money for mods n stuff... :c that is why Kubrow is more of an end game mechanic. Someone like me who doesn't have to save money for mod upgrading(unless new mods come out demanding it) Can spend it all on Kubrow. Even though lets be honest. The whole unfreezing them 3 hour wait is too long for me. I will need death now! So I will just use helios in the mean time.
Ailissa
I liked having my kubrow with me on missions but it was far too much hassle. It was like having an actual pet and I have pets of my own. Having to fuss around if it died and mess around with gene things. They shall be kept with the ice cream in the freezer. And there they shall probably remain permanently. Burns2PvP
Whole issue I see with the kubrow is the fact that even if its maxed, it still can't do as much damage as some sentinels, making it.. well pretty useless asides from having a dog. :/
SoulEchelon
Eh.... 75k = 6 stabilizers. Kubrows decay 10% a day. 1 DNA Stabilizer = 40% genetic stability. So..the most optimum way of buying and using DNA stabilizers is to use one every 4 days. 4x6 = 24. So 75k = 24 days worth of a healthy kubrow. Anyway that said, I do miss playing with my other Kubrow who's been frozen for god knows how long. I don't really see why freezing them and having to wait 3 hours is a thing. I don't see it as a balancing issue, that's for sure. Whole issue I see with the kubrow is the fact that even if its maxed, it still can't do as much damage as some sentinels, making it.. well pretty useless asides from having a dog. :/ Oh, I TOTALLY disagree. Kubrows can do massive damage. My Sunika has been chomping the faces off of mid-high level Void heavies without a problem, and she doesn't even have maxed damage mods yet. That's nothing compared to actually taking care of a pet, or even tomogatchi. Edited October 3, 2014 by Gaminus
Valletta
My kubrow stays in the freezer. It's honestly on how useless he is. He requires constant upkeep, dies in missions because he runs off away from me. When my shade and carrier are more useful why would I use him? Plus I don't care if they die in the mission because first off, they will blow up with the mod and kill everything, and I have regen. Also i don't have to pay to keep them alive. All they have to do is take away the dna stabilizer garbage and I would use my kubrow all the time. Edited October 3, 2014 by Valletta

Khawz
They served me well as mastery fodder. Only thing i miss is having the Kubrow around the ship, now there's just a egg standing there.

Almost everything you're talking about was answered. As for Kubrows "running away", you must not have brought it out recently because they now have a marker on them and they instantly teleport toward you if you go too far away from them. In fact you can kind of exploit this by running as far away as possible while they're bleeding out, and they'll teleport toward you so you can revive them safely. And speaking of them dying, do you have any sort of health/shield based mods on yours? It barely takes a few ranks in those mods to make a Kubrow survive most of the planets. A few more ranks make them easily survive the void. My Sunika has around 1500 health, 1000 shields depending on my current warframe. It's more hassle than a Sentinel which I have to do a grand total of nothing for. If pressing a few buttons and using 75k credits once a MONTH is too hard for you, then that's your prerogative. Not ours, nor DE's.
Katinka
I'm usually just about done playing around the time the DNA decay happens so, if I spot the time, I pop her into stasis, log out, log back in, get daily reward, take the kubrow out of stasis and shut down the game. Next time I'm playing she's thawed out and not suffered any degradation.
ArcusVeles
I don't feel like the kubrow does enough for its cost. I don't need a pet to do damage for me, and a lot of the time it just sort of hangs around and doesn't do anything anyway. The shield restore one is kind of nice, but not anything the Carrier can't do while also vacuuming up all the energy I need for my constant abilities spamming. Tried all four, leveled all four, got all their mods maxed and I just didn't end up feeling like they were useful. Amusing sometimes, but not useful. One time one of them bit an enemy in half vertically and that was pretty great, but that was about the high point of having a kubrow around. I would love to have a kubrow puppy running around the ship, but it eventually stops being a puppy and turns in to some wiry, splotchy mess and stops being cute. But, is your sentinel more damaging than a kunai, as fast as a loki and more tanky than a valkyr?
Sixty5
My net is unstable, recently it went out for 2 weeks. Other times its been down for a couple of days at a time. I don't want my ISP to kill my dogs so in stasis they stay. All unranked.
Draciusen
It's a metaphor for how superior technology/robots (Sentinels) are to organic, living creatures (Kubrows). Sneaky DE.

Now we should be grateful that kubrow doesn't sh*t or constant needs feeding . Edited October 3, 2014 by ValorousKs

Domaik
I just got them to level them up then froze them. I have enough money and plat to maintain 6 kubrows at the same time for a year or longer but the point is that they are completely useless for me no matter how cool they are. If i want skills carrier has the advantage with vaccuum protect sanctuary regen and coolant leak. If i want a dps machine Djinn is sooo good and a damn good sniper! And wyrm prime looks good and the crowd knock down couldnt be better! Tl:DR kubrows suck at the moment they need an overhaul and re-thinking of the skills
Sebastianx
I too miss my kubrows...sadly I don't always know if I can stay online 3 hours at a time just to wait for it to come out of the freezer, so that's the reason why I don't use kubrows...honestly, stasis recovery should be 1 minute not 3 hours.
