Rettycombine
So cryotic is an ice like substance that has a very low temperature, and it's blue, and whenever Ruk uses too much of his attacks a weakspot opens up on his armor, the weakspot glows blue, looks like crystals, and emits smoke similar to dry ice, and they cool things down since his reload animation is seperate. Imaru
Only reason I can think of that would give Ruk a need for Cryotic would be to keep his few biological parts from burning up in his suit, what with the built in flame thrower and such. Arlayn
That's blue fire dude. It could be a violent cooling unit. Notice no other grineer has armor that size with moves, and weaponry like that. Kril's armor is more skinny, and tall. Ruk has a big chunky unit, and Vay Hek has a damn mecha. Cooling his mechanical body would be a piece of cake. However Ruk's body is different its not big with fancy cooling unit parts. You could attack weak points on it meanwhile you could only attack Vay Hek's face because it was large with a superior cooling system. It wasnt an entourage of crazy weaponry. It just floated, and had weak weaponry on board. Until he attached to the giant mecha in which STILL you had to shoot his face because it was large enough to have a superior cooling system. It is possible that the blue fire wasn't blue fire, but the suit he was wearing using cryotic in a violent manner that it would forcefully push it out of the body in a gas form in order to cool it. Sorta like coolant in an engine except gas instead of liquid, and being pushed through an entire mecha body, and forced out at the end to push out the heat, and the used cryotic gas. UnknownBlademaster
Seeing that Ruk is an artifact hunter and those artifacts may contain Cryotic, I say this is very possible.
Revenant102
The panels that pop open are armor over his cooling systems; I'm not writing off cryptic being part of the heat exchanger to keep it compact; but that's not what we see.

True, Ruk has something of a Robocop-like behavior with his movements. He's a walking tank. I'm not sure about the use of Cryotic in his design, however. I think it would be interesting to see a "Super Ruk" show up later (similar to Corrupted Vor) with more advanced battle armor as a result of discovering Cryotic technology from captured Tenno or a Corpus hardware seizure. Vor may be a hyper-patriotic soldier, but he also seems more open-minded than most Grineer. He has no delusions about Grineer technological superiority (were this the case, he would not be using technological artifacts in his frame design); he's simply driven on ensuring the preservation of Grineer dominance and, unlike Chancellor Vey Hek, he has standards. Seeing him come back again and again with modified combat armors similar to the recurrences of Sigma from the Megaman X series would be a pretty wicked recurring plot arc. Can you imagine fighting a Gundamish Mobile Armor-like General Sargas Ruk in Archwing content? Edited October 6, 2014 by Exodess
Morec0
If any Grineer is using Cryotic, I'd say its Lech Kril. I like to think that Kril's upgrades, while powerful, are slightly out of date, and thus he needs that coolant system on his back to keep himself from overheating to meltdown-levels. At first we break the system to overcool him and freeze him for a while, but when it empties out we see what happens: he's engulfed in flames as his core melts down.
