Multiple Posts Quoted Within A Post Now Possible?!

I wonder if it's just me or the forum has just recently got updated/tweaked, automatically including multiple referenced quotes within a quote. Before when I replied to a quote, the reply only showed one immediate quote. Anyway, I thought it's nice and a very useful feature, though it seems long overdue. Thanks.

I think it is an annoying as hell feature and should be reverted.

Especially when you wrote a post that someone answered to, and then 3 other people answer that guy again having your quoting notification going off 3 times even if they did not respond directly to you...

While there is the risk of quote pyramids forming, there have been a number of times that I have been confused by quotes as they refer to something not included.  I think this is a good option, as long as we take responsibility for pruning the quote to relevant text only.  Auto spoilering sounds like a good idea.

8 times so far today that has happened to me, 8 @(*()$ times...

I think it seems to be quite spammy.

Quote trains will be quite annoying.

I think it would be better to make it as an option, like a button "NestedQuote" next to MultiQuote on the bottom, or when you reply, giving you an option to include, e.g. I personally love it, but I can see it as an issue for others.

The dead shall remain dead. This has been here a little while and I've thought of this.....

I've disabled quote embedding again, for now.

What? Why?

I get how quoting a million quotes within each other can make pages ungodly long, but mostly it's just nice to be able to figure out what a quoted comment might relate to, if it's not clear from the post you just read... Or maybe that's just me?

I'll look into a more limited version, to stop quoting from getting ridiculous.

Would it be possible to make it auto spoiler nested quotes? I feel like that would go a long way to solve the issue of nested quotes getting too big.

Can't you put a limit of 3 quotes? That's how they do it on a different forum I'm active on. It won't show more than 3 quotes to avoid long chains.

Good idea, too.

Also, the issue, by those who dislike the feature, seems to be because they receive the alert even when theirs already beyond the immediate one was quoted. I'm thinking maybe the limitation should be applied there.
