beierlol
Hi, Currently I am using orthos for melee and dual aklato for secondary I am not quit sure if they are good or should I switch them, also I ran into a bit of problem with how to mod the weapons
vaugahn
If you like Orthos, I suggest upgrading to Orthos Prime. It's quite good. Otherwise, I'd suggest you look into other market weapons. The Bo and Amphis are good choices, and Dual Zorens are also fun. For secondaries, I'd suggest either Twin Gremlins or Vasto/AkVasto. Both are pretty easy to get. Katinka
If you like the feel of aklato then akmagnus is not a bad choice. Similar feel but packs a bigger punch (and looks cooler).
Splatter_Puppet
Lex/Aklex are good secondaries to get after the Aklato. And you can get the Lex instantly with credits.
Brightside013
Literally any gun is better than the lato, akimbo or not. I ditto the lex/aklex suggestion since it's credits and no crafting materials.Check this out for modding: http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Damage_2.0. It's a good overview of the damage system. I think the videos at the bottom are pretty helpful. For more specific builds, find video reviews for the weapon you're interested in and/or visit their wiki pages. For melee, just look at what's available. The first thing you can build that makes you say, "That looks fun," buy it.

I have the material need for magnus but I dont really know if I should get the Aklex like they say or the magnus
Katinka
Start with Lex since it is instant for credits. Then build a Magnus. Double up on the one you like? Ultimately I would say use all the guns, over time, keeping the ones you like.
xFayt
For lowbie secondaries, take a look at Kunai, Hikou, AkBolto, AkMagnus, AkVasto, AkLex, and maybe AkStilettos and Marelok if you have a clan already. For melee, you can pretty much use anything you want. Dual Zoren or Dual Ether are a nice start. If you like heavier weapons, there's always the Galatine, though you'd need Clashing Whirlwind to make it very effective in higher levels. The Kestrel and Kogake are nice for their CC, just ragdoll errything.
d1sc1p1e
don't stress too much, you won't have the for long. though it's true a lot of the easy from-start weapons are totally viable end game, you won't know that till you've tried a S#&$ ton of them, and taken it's relatively easy to level a weapon you'll be looking for the next one before you know it. just try and make sure you have a balanced loadout at all times. so you've got a slow &#!, heavy damage primary? grab a quick secondary and melee and vice versa. you want to level that Bronco? grab a bullet hose primary and quick melee etc.
Eggzodiya
Vasto is my favorite secondary weapon, currently having eaten 4 formas so far. In fact, I'm a huge fan of its other two siblings, Lex and Magnus. Lex isn't bad, but I prefer Lex Prime because it gives more bang for your buck (the bp may be a pain to get, but it's not too hard). Magnus is a wonderful weapon too, and puts in the hurt against those Corpus. You can go for the more powerful sidearms, such as despair or marelok, but my personal preference is the above stated trio. For melee, I use dakra prime. Great damage (with crimson dervish, of course), good attack speed for coptering, and it looks nice (personal opinion). My next target is the dragon nikana, and I've heard a lot of good things about it. You should grab a good melee weapon for coptering. It makes those long missions feel like a breeze. (PSN)Viggorrah
Dual Zoren are awesome. Got the blueprint as a login reward. I'd also recommend Orthos Prime if you do enjoy Orthos, as I had it before the Kronen and Dual Zoren. As far as secondary, I'm actually in the same boat: I'm in the market for one. The Acrid seems nice though, so that's what I'm going with right now.
