Can We Get Suppressed Shot Sounds For Rifles Using Hush?

Maybe this is just a personal gripe for me as I like to use Sniper Rifles, but when I equip Hush I would like to hear a suppressed shot rather than a loud bang that no enemy seems to hear. It just feels like something simple to add. Contrary to some, I actually like to play stealthy with my Banshee and a Vectis.

I get the idea of the mods utility but an audio cue of a suppressed shot would seem pretty cool.

Then again some will argue just to use a Bow but I prefer sniper rifles in game.

Again this isn't something game breaking I just think silent shots when Suppression mods would be a neat little addition

I actually contacted DE George about this a few months ago. His response, and I quote:

Ideally we would have distinct silenced sounds for weapons when you have the mod equipped.  Unfortunately we haven't had the time to go through all the weapons and make custom suppressed sounds for each... perhaps in the future.  We do lower their volume by a bit though when the mod is applied to help with the "silenced" aspect of them, but I realize that is not a completely ideal solution.

You think you can screen cap the mod quote itself?

Too much COD, and movies. In real life weapons don't suppress to that strange tube sounding, and most weapons are hardly effected at all. A tiny bit quieter, but you can still hear that stuff just fine if your the one firing the weapon.

I haven't actually used any of the silence mods yet, but this seems like a silly oversight to make.
While we're on the subject, if this gets done at some point, please avoid the cliche "psjiu" sound from movies, and use a more propper dampened "clonk" sound instead.

From what I have seen that sounds pretty accurate to what he would say.

This should be a feature, however it is down to what they have time for.

(also copy and paste, you can see the lingering formatting, try ctr+shift+v next time if you want to remove formatting)

Lowering volumes doesn't mean anything when your firing off a Lex Prime or Vulkar. Its still loud. Glad to see others on the same page here.

Also if they are having trouble making suppressed audio for guns then I feel they should record suppressed audio along with whatever new gun they add in Tenno Reinforcements or updates. That way you can go back later and just touch up the older weapon when the time is available. Sort of like how Steve mention the PBR on the latest devstream and how they would overtime passively add it in game to different objects.

Ideally most rifles would make a soft click sound which kind of echoes its standard audio, sniper rifles would be slightly louder clicks but with a more muffled distortion. And so on. At least that's how it sounds in my head.

We are space ninjas with jet powered warhammers, space dogs and a slightly insane ship cephalon. I think realism is far from our solar system Tenno
