HalotroopermanX7
I do believe that 'The Forsaken' is correct (Grammar wise.)
DeathKoala
The Forsaken is correct. Forsaken is singular and its own plural.
(PSN)IIIDevoidIII
Forsaken is the plural form of forsaken. Moved to a more appropriate section.

(XBOX)CamFred
Your problem is not a grammar problem. Singular names can still end in S. Ask Jesus.
DeathKoala
I've got an English midterm that's all grammar this Thursday, I might as well help out some fellow Tenno for practice.
(XBOX)CamFred
One more point: the word forsaken isn't plural or singular. It's an adjective.
413X
We're changing the clan name to 'The Forsaken' but I'm not sure if it should be 'The Forsakens'. Which one is right? Ahhhhhh The Forsaken is already taken on PC though. Not sure if that may cause problems if Rainbow Bridge ever comes around. -413X, Warlord of The Forsaken
DeathKoala
One more point: the word forsaken isn't plural or singular. It's an adjective. It could be used as a pronoun in proper noun form, such as a group being referred to as "The Forsaken," as is the case here.
(PSN)IIIDevoidIII
One more point: the word forsaken isn't plural or singular. It's an adjective. Forsaken can be a verb, adjective, and a noun(<- Depending on what dictionary you follow).
(XBOX)CamFred
Forsaken can be a verb, adjective, and a noun(<- Depending on what dictionary you follow). Got a source for forsaken as a noun? (Are you talking about forsakening/forsakeness?)
DeathKoala
Got a source for forsaken as a noun? (Are you talking about forsakening/forsakeness?) It would simply be defined as "one who has been forsaken."
(XBOX)CamFred
It would simply be defined as "one who has been forsaken." I think you've forsaken my request for a source.
jonnin
Your problem is not a grammar problem. Singular names can still end in S. Ask Jesus. Jesus would be Jesi if HE were plural. Its not english, its latin, which is a mangled version of greek or hebrew of His true name. You are still correct -- plural words can have a plural ending, but generally, they do not. And an "S" does not always mean plural, as you noted. Edited October 8, 2014 by jonnin
