Why Cant The Game Store Clan Emblems That We Upload For 150 Platinum Each Time? , Such A Waste Of Plat

This may not be a popular topic for clan members but it sure would strike the minds of all clan warlords who spend 150 p for the clan logos and emblems.

 

I am a warlord for my clan and I upload new emblems for my clan every month or 2 just to keep it a little more interesting and something new for my small clan and its members.

 

What  I wanna know is, why cant we clans RETAIN  our logos which we upload every time for 150 platinum.

I mean, we pay plats for accessories right? so it is stored in game and we can use it when ever we want..

 

Why not the same for the clan logos, why not store the logos or emblems which we make for our clan so that we have different logos to choose from for our frames

 

we do pay for clan badge 30 plat

we do pay 150 for clan logo update

we DONT get a refund if something goes wrong

 

Not many clans may make new logos every month but it does seem logical to retain the logos which we have already uploaded for our clan so that the clan members can choose the variety of logos which we warlords provide by uploading emblems

 

If not anything the clan emblems which we warlords spend 150 p on everytime for updload must be worth it right. so why hasnt the DE made the clan logos be stored in the game for that particular clan..

 

in clan dojos also we wud have options as to which logo can be ' emblem of the day ' and only a warlord can change it

 

 

In conclusion I would wanna say that I do want the 150 plats to be well spent knowing that we can still have our logos stored for our clan members to choose from..

Anyways, this would be a cool idea. It only affects a very small portion of people though, as the vast majority of clans just pick an emblem and stick with it. Maybe being able to choose from a collection of pre-set emblems or something?

The emblem is meant to be an identifying feature so that others know that player Y belongs to clan/alliance X at a glance in missions. It wouldn't make sense for there to be multiple emblems for a single clan/alliance, especially if the usage of a single one at a time wasn't enforced clan-wide. It'd be like a country having multiple national flags (very few do).

I'll take a Clan-based Sigil. :D On topic... Having multiples to choose from would be neat, like uploading and cycling through various mod cards. (lookin' at you, Flow folks) A mini 2D Carrier emblem for your arm, a cool redesigned Lotus symbol, the kanji for shinobi, etc. (kinda like Sigils, but for your arms)

but at the same time, i do see OP's points as valid

 

there are plenty other ways for DE to monetize Warframe vs milking clans and their warlords for every nickel and dime

 

IMHO this is a HUGE dis-incentive to start a clan or an alliance, and that is bad design =/

because that would sound reasonable, though i'm sure it would require a bit of extra infrastructure in the back of the game. so it may take a while as it wouldn't be high priority.

true.. it does take a whole lotta work on the already present infrastructure as u said.. but it would help if we did have various choices of clan emblems since we did spend 150 on each upload right.. and also to keep it attractive not just as an identy as someone said but as an accessory which makes the warframe we use look cool.. I do understand that its great for clans which have made a name for themselves in this game as one of the top 5 or top 10 but there are more than just 10 clan in this game.. it would be nice to know we spent 150 plat for an embem or logo which we can use again whenever we want..

in other words, you're asking for custom badges we can wear.

 

same general idea as the Clan Badge, but instead of tying it Clans, it can be personal. then it can be used as it's own Cosmetic.

Side note on this, Why in the blue *&%$ DOES IT COST SO MUCH? Can we at least get some sort of form on here where we could submit designs for staff approval before we lose that plat? I've got an idea for a great logo but i'm not sure it would pass because it could be considered offensive by someone whom i would classify as a wuss or mamby pamby. But honestly it's all in good humor and fun.

The reason that every submission is 150p is because usually people only do one submission. Usually.

Unfortunately that isn't true for everyone, sure some do only one. but even that one submission......Costs $10

As for me, a friend and myself recently were given control of our clan as the leader decided to quit to focus on school and we were revamping a lot of stuff from our rules,dojo and most notibly our logo.

DE does have to go through and approve every submission and add it into the next update, so cost is never going to change. However, I imagine their system relies on the fact that the particular item replaces an element of a clan itself, rather than selecting whatever your active emblem is from a list or inventory. This preventing any undue errors in the long run, especially for clans who seemingly can't decide on an emblem and keep updating it...
