ROSING
It's because nobody has been running Hijack missions to prevent the cores from being made since Tethra's Doom.Like seriously, do people even play those missions any more, for fun or otherwise? Chub_N_Tuck
Unlike interception and soon-to-be-implemented excavation, hijack mission only fits in Ceres because it's the shipyards. So It's stuck in that planet and since not much rewards are given... almost no one goes there except for unlockers Edited October 8, 2014 by GaiaNyix
OriVerda
I'd like to believe the cores don't fit the oversized Balors of death.
Imaru
I'd like to believe the cores don't fit the oversized Balors of death. It's not the size that counts, it's how you use it that makes the difference.
Toppien
its a real shame, but its because there's no particularly reward for doing those missions more than once
SarcasticShepard
The cores in question date back to the event where Hek was moved to his special mission. You know, the one where he said he would throw the Lotus into the sun?

CY13ERPUNK
ever since DE introduced endless def and then later survival with stacking rewards that's basically all anyone plays, besides the void missions for prime parts then DE has a poll about which missions ppl like most/least and SURPRISE, the most rewarding loot missions top the list and everything else drags the bottom =/ if DE would just rework endless mission rewards to be not 'THE BEST' in the game, and give other missions valuable rewards to compensate, then i think we'd see ppl playing a much larger variety of the mission types IMHO the hijack mission was one of the best designed missions for an event, it was relatively short, and all event rewards were obtainable by a competent team, but required intense teamwork for a highscore, it even had stretch goals, why it wasn't voted the best event blows my mind (while cryotic front was a neat new mission, the event was an awful grind and had tons of problems with tile layout and spawning)

But would adding in an attractive reward be the only solution to making this popular again?
MechaTails
I was playing Hijack today to farm beacons, it was fun, I like the idea. However, since the goal is pretty much to act as a bullet attractor so the core isn't blown up, my Banshee who uses wet noodles as armor doesn't like it as much as a Rhino would lol. Hatzeputt
It´s easier to grow a bonsai on your head than to find a single soul for Hive,Hijack or ODS missions.
PookieNumnums
hijack conclave missions!
Ritchel
i think noone plays them missions unless they havent cleared the node the only nodes active is survivals and sechura to lvl tons of gears but its great since grineer unleashed this %&^morians for us to get archwing and fight in space
Arlayn
hijack is an annoying mission with no benefit. You get more from doing other missions than you do from a mission where you can't stray far from the objective at all. Lets not forget its difficulty. Not the most enjoyable, or fun. WERElektro
Lol.. Actually I don't think I've done even one of these since the event.
Skeleton.with.Root.Beer
Done them once. Not enough people interested.
ROSING
And since it's hard to solo, those who do play will get pretty fed up.
ArcusVeles
Farmed it for a while for beacons because you can/could maintain the thing forever with a Trinity. I think they said they patched that though, which is a real shame (for the game mode anyway, no one is going to play it at all any more). Maybe they should make it have a disproportionately high chance of Prosecutors.
CrazyCatLad
I usually just do Survivals, Exterminate, and Defenses (plus random alerts/void missions).
Othergrunty
It's because nobody has been running Hijack missions to prevent the cores from being made since Tethra's Doom. Like seriously, do people even play those missions any more, for fun or otherwise? We wouldn't be dealing with any Formorians if the Lotus had just allowed us to blow up those damn reactors on the ground so the Shipyards could take some mighty beating that would have taken the Grineer years to repair and halted their Formorian production. But NOPE. Apperently a dwarf plannet filled with nothing but toxins and automated Grineer war factories has such an important and delicate eco system that we can't let any harm come to it. Likewise apperently there are thousands of invisible workers manning these factories, who we can't let die either. ... This all makes more sense when you remember that the Shipyards were original supposed to be on Earth (hence why Vay Hek's boss battle takes place there) and that the Prosecutors were original supposed to be harmless Grineer workers. Also there is most likely some horrible thing being developed in the Corpus facilities on Pluto since barely any Tenno is running missions there either, to keep the Corpus under controll. Yeah something really needs to be done to get people out of defense, survival and void again and back into the higher level planets and other mission types. Talking about new ideas for missions. What ever happend to Scott's idea to make Sabotage more complex by forcing players to carry around fuel rods which weaken them? Khawz
Hijack is actually played a lot for beacon farming, well atleast it used to be.
MM209
They are a pain to solo, no randoms every join them, and they offer no special rewards. Hijack was neat but there's no reason to do them other then to clear the mission node. Perhaps if all standard missions offered a random completion reward at the end there would be more interest in playing regular mission nodes. If they wanted to specifically make Hijack more popular all they need to do is make it so Hijack missions pay off a guaranteed random beacon type as a completion reward. This is a Ceres specific mission type so it fits.
