New Tactical Alerts are coming to the Alert System and will appear sporadically when your help is needed somewhere in the Solar System. Offering unique objectives and thematically chosen enemies, these specialized missions are designed to augment the current Alert system with narrative twists and unique gameplay experiences. Add in a new Conclave rating limitation plus an extended mode for completionists (which awards the new "Stratos" Emblem) and these missions are sure to be a challenge to all Tenno! Watch your in-game Inbox or follow hey, you'll want to throw this into your tac alert post instead of the one mentioned: @WFAlertsPS4 on Twitter for a message from The Lotus, Cantis of the Red Veil Resistance, or other contact for instructions on special Tactical Alerts to complete. WHAT YOU NEED TO DO - Watch your inbox for a Tactical Alert message. Full instructions will be provided in the message. - An individual progress bar will appear to help you track your completion of the Alert. - Once you have fulfilled the objective, you will receive an inbox message to congratulate you and provide you with your reward! At this point you will also have the option to run a Stratos Challenge to earn your Stratos Badge (more info below). WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW - Similar to regular Alerts, each Tactical Alert is temporary and will only be available for a limited time. - Once you have completed the Tactical Alert, you can continue to run it with your fellow Tenno, however you will only receive one Reward. - Pack light – enemy sensors can detect high-level gear. Check out your Conclave Rating and adjust accordingly. REWARDS Rewards will vary with each Tactical Alert. TACTICAL SPECIALIST EMBLEM Upon successfully completing each Tactical Alert, you will have the option to run a Stratos Challenge – a more difficult version of the Alert with an even lower Conclave Rating. Achieve the required amount of points in this challenge and you will receive the Stratos Emblem Badge. Each Tactical Alert will offer a new element for the Badge. Complete the Stratos Challenge in each Tactical Alert and watch your Tactical Specialist Emblem Badge evolve. Also having to keep changing my conclave became a pain. Getting 200 points was a huge pain and if wasn't for a badge I probably wouldn't have done this. That's how much I disliked this. I agree completely. U would think running such low conclave would stop the rushers but it doesent even phase them. They can't be bothered to shoot motion sensors, wait at elevators or revive teammates only to fly ahead and get killed putting everyone else at risk. It makes you reevaluate your warframe and weapon favorites and forces you to try leaner and smarter purpose builds. Building up for maximum damage with repeated polarizations has been the way to go so far. Now brute force will have to take the back seat and we have to explore smarter configurations. Really, something needs to be done about these inactive leeches. I guess bearing an event badge that you obtained by other player's efforts is okay with some people. Eh, same thing happens in real life. Otherwise, I loved this alert. This intentional "gimping" really forced me to play differently, less recklessly, and how to arm myself with the most effective setup for that conclave level! Nice job DE, keep them coming. (PSN)booshthelurker Posted October 11, 2014 Share Posted October 11, 2014 I like the idea, and enjoyed participating alongside other Tenno. Yes it forces teamwork, but I enjoy that. I'm on ps4 and had no problem finding squads. As for the reward... Meh. I don't care about a badge. Who cares about a badge? Some if my friends that are trophy @#&*(s and that's cool, but it means nothing to me. If the badges were more than just a almost imperceivable white design maybe, but why not a weapon or frame skin? (PSN)Lord_Gremlin Posted October 12, 2014 Share Posted October 12, 2014 While alert was easy - I even solo-ed it a couple of times - I dislike the idea. Basically you are forced to sacrifice variety. By the way, normal Rhino with maxed redirection, vitality, energy siphon and iron skin plus a 5-forma maxed Tigris modded for radiation damage and max punchthrough came out at exactly 500 conclave. even though during one run I've met 4 hyenas near spawn point it's really easy - 1 double blast from that tigris would put one down, while also putting down everything around it. Anyway, what I'm getting that is all that system does is killing variety. Use 1 weapon and 1 warframe ability through entire mission. Yes, very fun... I'd rather see minimum conclave requirements. Like your character must be 1800+ conclave to make boss X spawn, because boss X likes hunting advanced warframes. Which would also ease up balancing - you know every player will be 1800+ conclave, unless they are deliberately screwing themselves you can predict what their health and damage output will be. Of course such 1800+ conclave missions won't be available for new players, but you know, something must be. This is what endgame is. The place you go to get rare exclusive stuff after you're swimming in multi-forma gear and maxed every mod worth maxing. You must have this restricted place otherwise people just leave because they've seen everything. T4 is not an answer. You don't need a 5-forma weapon, maxed mods and a 1800+ conclave loadout to run T4, you can start doing it 3 days into the game. You simply won't be able to run endless modes for too long.
