Electric Crawlers Can Sometimes Deal Corrosive Damage

WHile on an infested mobile defense run on Eris and later a defesne run on Ceres DSD, I noticed that If i Was either under the aura of a toxic ancient or a venomous toxic eximus (can't remember which, though), that if an electric crawler zapped me, the HUD would display a corrosive proc, and I would see the green corrosive thingy proc around my warframe. Is this intentional? 

 

Although not really an issue, the 8 second proc does take it's toll on solo. May I know if anyone else has experienced this?

 

If so, do you think it should be fixed?

Interesting. It would make sense since Toxic Ancient grants nearby Infested Toxin damage, and combining with Electric Crawler's Electric damage yield Corrosive.

 

Not sure if intentional, but I like the extra challenge.

Yes, i experienced it. i think it is intended, and oh, grineer powerfist can proc viral too..

That's never happened to me but it would be something nice to give the infested a bit more of an edge. Since we don't have a corrosive damage dealing unit for any of the factions this would be nice.
