Well, I Didn't Want To Read The Message Anyway.

Actually, I did want to read it, but it's pretty annoying when I need to take out the shoulder pads or switch the frame just to navigate a few things.

Rhino Prime, even without the pads covers important bits of the interface.

I'd like an option to turn our frame invisible during the navigations. Maybe a transparancy slider.

This issue has been around for a pretty long time and in my opinion, it should have been somewhere on the top of the priority list.

I would have to agree my Kronen get in the way constantly. I have to crouch to see my Foundry's left side :3

Edit: I see other people do that to nice to know lol

It's a good trick, unfortunately it doesn't work with the ESC menu.

Like in this case, when you want to check your inbox.

pablo has already said that it's really hard to do when in actual fact it isnt. but what do we know? all he does is take good things, tear away all of the usefull info and render them inefficient and useless.

made me lol

Anyways, this is kind of a problem. Maybe a custom centerpoint for each frame, so that larger ones get moved further to the side? Armor pieces could have a centerpoint modifier attached to them as well.

I'll move that to UI feedback.

Where it will be ignored by the devs, like 90% of the U14 UI feedback.

</obviousbitterness>

Someone else said it right after the UI change - can't remember who but it went something like this:

Don't show the text to my dude, he can't read. I can read, show it to me.

Yeah this seems to be a common issue with the U14 UI.  They're focusing so much on "immersion" that they seem to forget that the player needs to be primary, not the avatar.  The concept of "The player sees things through their warframe" may have been taken a bit too literally here. :P

That'd just be one more thing they'd need to tweak and adjust on a per-frame basis over and over, like the attachable armor pieces they keep having to adjust.  We've definitely seen this is an issue with those already and we don't need the devs to worry about that as well.

Something that solves the heart of the problem would be better, like adjusting the positioning of the UI and frame in total, spacing them so far apart that the UI is too far to the left for even the bulkiest frames to get in the way.  It will look less like the frame is reading the inbox, but the Player > Frame in terms of what needs to be reading it.

It seems like they just need to give you a little more control over the camera when you've got a UI open. If mousing to the left edge of the screen panned the camera counterclockwise further (and likewise, clockwise when mousing to the right edge of the screen) it seems like that would fix the issue.

I don't agree with being required to pan the mouse/camera around to certain areas of the screen in order to be able to read parts of the UI< especially the escape/pause menu.

Instead of being given ways to avoid this problem... this problem should not exist in the first place.  The core issue of elements being placed behind frames needs to be fixed.

Agreed. All this fiddling around with camera position and tilting and whatever is completely unneeded and has created an artifical problem. Just have all the menus be first person and get rid of all the obstructions and tilting. One of the major problems with the new UI solved with one simple change.

I agree that this is an issue and needs some sort of fix.

This would be an effective solution, however I do like the immersion of seeing my frame.

I'd rather not have to stare at the bulk of my warframe hiding menu icons. Why can't we have a simplistic, non-intrusive UI system? The old columns weren't pretty but at least they weren't blocked.

It'd be nice to be able to switch back to a standard interface(just park my warframe sitting in a command chair or something Behind the menus.

You're right, the new ones are nice. I rescind my previous mention about it breaking immersion; your frame should go completely invisible and the menu should be the main focus on the screen.

and just to make it Warframe themed, Loki appears in your Ship and makes you invisible, then poofs away again.

or Kasumi, if we want something that isn't directly Warframe ;)

speaking of rhinos hulking shoulders, why cant we get an option to change out his shoulder pads, like frost, mag and ember prime, its 1 thing for shoulder pads to scale to his huge body, but to have it stack on top of his already bulky shoulders, isn't that a bit much?

One thing that I don't quite understand: Why doesn't the view change from third to first person whenever you enter the menus? Codex does it, market does it, Clan tab does it, options do it ... So why not do it for everything? This would get rid of all those problems in no time and we could even kick out this sickening UI sway in the foundry and Mod station.
