Dual Dagger Stances Make No Sense

The base physical damage type of Fang Prime are puncture and impact. Yet, most of the attacks are clearly SLASHING attacks.

 

Sinking Talon

 

 

Gnashing Payara

 

 

Gnashing Payara's attacks include a couple of lunge attacks, but most of them are slash attacks, similar to the Sinking Talon. Daggers should have more stab animations, since their main damage type is puncture.

Fang prime daggers are not supposed to deal puncture damage in the first place, because they clearly have sharp edges and no overly pointy end.

 

To be honest, the only stabbing daggers in this game would be Dual Ether daggers... oh wait DE got rid of them.

Well... Puncture is a type of damage that easily deals with armor, Fang Prime Codex entry reads:

A set of ceremonial daggers from the Orokin era, the Fang Prime's blades resonate violently as they strike. This allows them to pierce hardened materials like armor with ease.

Damage type and attacks make sense mechanics wise, although entire name doesn't make sense in real life.

If its called Thrusting damage, like in Dark Souls I'd have more issues. But as above, Puncture is a damage type, not attack style.
