Netheroc
Since we cant really expect another flamethrower ever to be implimented in this game, because we already got one, and the word "Flamethrower" is pretty specific, we might aswell buff Ignis to be somewhat useful past lvl 15. It has 100 DPS unmodded, and the cone damage only makes up for that at low levels where enemies die from being breathed at. But thats not quite satisfying. The argument "But Ember can make Ignis a very good weapon" doesnt really count, or we have to nerf each and every crit weapon to the ground since Volt can use shield and turn them into godlike weapons. Ignis has to be decent without the help of a warframe ability. Edited October 11, 2014 by Netheroc
PsychedelicSnake
Not saying it doesn't need a buff, but I've used Ignis against Lvl 30+ no problem.
Netheroc
Not saying it doesn't need a buff, but I've used Ignis against Lvl 30+ no problem. My Ignis has 6 forma, and im having some problems maintaining its ammo drain at those levels without ammo mutation.

Have 3 forma in mine and I have no problems. What mods do you have?

Its a continuous weapon, the mutation mod is needed in almost all situations.
Archistopheles
Forma'd Ignis caps out at around level 40 (from personal experience). After that, the ammo economy drops like bass. Sure, you can soften up enemies and proc everywhere, but killing power is slow. Add blast and you can make it a "cc" weapon.
Eric1738
i doubt it will receive dps or ammo eficiency buffs. it is intended to be effective in low-mid levels. the only buff i want to see is to make it proc heat dot by default
xlraistlx
My ignis have 5 formas in it and deals with mobs around level 40 with no trouble. Granted that I depend on my carrier to mantain my ammo but that has nothing to do with the damage, I'd prefeer a larger ammo poll, somilar at waht the Grataka used to have. Phoenix86
We need an Ignis Wraith!! (and it better be damn buffed trought the roof!)
Sixty5
I see the ignis as more of a utility weapon. It lets me proc radiation en masse which is always nice. I will agree that it somewhat lacks in damage. A decent way to buff it might be to force fire procs in the same way that the castanas force electric ones, it would give it a nice burn effect that it currently lacks

Id like to add that i say basically this and get flamed often Really its not bad but could be better for what it is
Kruglov
Ignis could use a buff. The Amprex does everything the Ignis does, but better. I havent used my ignis in months because I know eventually when fighting higher level enemies I will run out of ammo and damage fairly quick. hijinks_the_turtle
Ignis does need a buff.
H.Katsura_999
Well, Sure, buff it I guess? But Its still usable up to level 35 with the proper build but like what the others said ammo economy really is an issue.

Of course I wouldn't be against a damage buff either, the Ignis isn't garbage tier but even with it's AoE it still feels underwhelming compared to a lot of the other continuous-fire weapons.
