Survival On Ceres? Not Excavation?

I think it's on it's way. Just hasn't gotten here yet. Keep in mind that they need to  set up the locations that the drills can spawn and such for each tileset. They already existed for Earth's and Phobos's tilesets as they were used in the event.

The Shipyards? I don't think the tileset would accomodate for Excavation.

Why not? For one thing, it's on planet surface (which doesn't make sense that they can shut down life support system, which is also the reason Excavation was made). For another, there are certain tiles that have ground and soil. They can restrict Excavation on some of these tiles to start, or simply make new ones specifically for this game mode on Ceres.

It just seems so... industrialized, I just find it hard to be feasible.

Sometimes its raining and cloudy, sometimes it's clear and you can see huge asteroids in the sky.  Honestly, it's amazing that Ceres can maintain an atmosphere without some massive device somehow shielding it in.  At least Phobos has the excuse of the Grineer possibly domineering it into a very low orbit over a terraformed Mars, though the tileset itself feels more appropriate to Mars' surface than to an asteroid the size of a city.
