Frame Checking...

Is there any program or gallery out there that lets you look at frames (and weapons, I suppose) in detail and with color change options? For the Prime frames that are purely cosmetic, I may prefer just the original version, so I want to be able to look at them both at my leisure. With a frame like Frost, however, even the picture doesn't help, as I would immediately color him more like his Base Frame, but I'm not sure how that would look. I do assume that when you wear alternate cosmetic helms, the appearance is the same as it is on the base frame, with no extra gold trimming? The helmet gold trimming is often-time ridiculous looking and the biggest reason why I would choose to not use a frame.

 

And while it's true that I can just build both versions myself and still get Mastery points out of the one I don't use, that does take a fair amount of time and resources, so I'd prefer to avoid that if need be. Or at least, know ahead of time that I'll want to use the base frame and start forma-ing it immediately, rather than having to try out the prime version.

Nothing that I'm aware of that's able to do that. I think your best bet would be to ask someone to color their Frost Prime into his default colors and show you the screenshots. Or in the dojo even. Like compare the two.

As far as I'm aware, no, there is no such site or app for customizing frames or showing customized versions of them.

Frost Prime, statwise, is just regular Frost with an extra defense Forma. Several other frames are similar. And Frost is actually the reason I really want to know. I was building a frost when someone offered a dirt cheap frost set that I had to buy. However, upon looking at the golden rings on his head, part of me is thinking twice about it. However, that can be taken care of with cosmetic helmets (and I have an Arcane Aurora one at that). But still, it'd be nice to look at both frames colored the way I like it and make the call. Sure regular Frost would start behind Frost Prime, but if I didn't enjoy grinding I wouldn't be playing this game.

I'll check out Celsius' thread, see if I can't find what I'm looking for there.

There was enough there to make me think I'll stick with the Prime Frost, but just make sure to put on another hat. Since I already have an arcane one with effectively no drawbacks (+Armor, -Health, ends up with net gain on Effective Health) I'm all set there. Seriously, those gold rings on his head look really ridiculous. 

 

Still if someone could post Regular and Prime Frosts side by side with the starter color scheme for Base Frost, that'd be ideal. Alternatively, instead of the base color scheme, give them the same scheme but have all the colors just be obviously different so I know what the painting options are. Ditto if someone could do it for the other primes that have no statistical edge over their base version. I know it's a bit to ask, but if you have them both, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks for anyone who humors me ^_^

and if you have the immortal skin then any prime basically looks like a normal frame because the skin covers the gold parts on the body
