There's no problem about someone playing the game however the hell they want, but they have no leg to stand on to complain, if they're not playing the game the way it's designed, and a change in the way it's designed screws up the way they've been playing. IOW, of course it's your choice to play a non-standard way, but the devs aren't obliged to tailor the way they design the game around your non-standard way.
