.:DISCLAIMER:Any one of my "How to" post is a mere suggestion based on personal opinion as to how DE can change certain things:.

Hey guys,

It has been a while since I've had a "How to" posted due to being rather busy. Any who today I want to bring something not seen suggested before.

We all know DE is trying to make the world more alive and more immersive, something achieved very nicely with the new UI however if we are going to do that, then sure as hell we are going all the way to end.

So what am I talking about? DMD.

Dynamic Mission Distribution (_DMD)

DMD is a system I am proposing to be added upon the star chart either for all missions or starting out only with one planet or something.

The idea behind is that each node will not have the same mission type every time on it reasonably so. Let me put this with reason, does it make sense that you capture the same target from the same node every single time? No, does it make sense that you need to distract the enemy for a Tenno operative on the same exact node? No.

So here is how we change that, every planet has a certain amount of mission types, this means that a planet will never run short of Survival or Defense but rather they are distributed differently.

Let's take Saturn, Cassini for example, right now it is survival, with DMD in 3 hours it could be a Capture mission or an Exterminate mission which changes up the star chart to be less monotonous (using right word here?).

However, we do not stop there that'd be silly. Let's move it a step forward. Each mission will have a description giving you reason for your actions upon the node. Taking Cassini from earlier, if it is survival it could say

"Our Tenno operative has reason to believe he can change VIP shipments coming in from [insert name]. If we can help him do this, our arsenal will be larger whilst crippling enemy forces".

Maybe even give the operative himself a name, maybe it will tie into a syndicate. Who knows. However that message will not always be the same. We have more ground work for Exterminate:

1-"Year 1470, Month 08, Day 13-Grineer forces have opened fire on civilians who have made peaceful protests. They are now mobilizing against the next city, reason does not seem to fade them Tenno. We must fight fire with fire"

or

2-"A new Grineer platoon has been deployed for "cleansing" the population on Saturn. We must intercept their ship before they reach the colonists"

Keep in mind, quests are unaffected by this.

I've thought of every single possible turnout and all I can see is more reason for us to do something and more story.

This would tie in very well with my proposition for questing each frame from a boss:https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/316508-how-to-farm-a-warframe-boss-part-farming-feedback/

and giving out lore in new ways (pickups-audio/video logs and diary entries):https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/262718-how-to-leak-more-lore/

What do you guys think?

In my opinion, the star chart needs to be more dynamic but what's important is the influence that players can have on this dynamism. If it's just randomly evolving, it will just make it more painful to search for a specific mission type when you want to, and add very little "immersion".

So in a world, I say yes to your idea if it's part of a continuous story, a deeper dynamic system with Tennos playing a crucial role (zone dominances, civilian colonies establishment, anything).

You can have a look at my previous related idea there.

Yes, all my yes buddy! This is just a stepping stone as some alerts and even continued off missions either from invasions and whatnot can have minor repercussions.

"With the Corpus gone, the Grineer are moving in to settle quickly, now is our chance to capture [insert name here] who is a VIP member of the Gene research facility on Uranus" <-for capture mission after invasion where Grineer won

or

"The Corpus are moving in quickly, Tenno shipments have been exposed we should extract them out of there" <-for defense mission after an invasion where Grineer lost

Hmm, not sure if I like the "dangerous score" idea as a general thing but it is something that could work with the Syndicates. Interesting how similar our ideas are though XD

As for your finding the boss idea I have that within my proposed changes for farming warframe parts:https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/316508-how-to-farm-a-warframe-boss-part-farming-feedback/

Which kind of builds up the story to the actual boss fight. Interesting thread though, +1 from me ^^

I followed the link here from your reply on my post :)

I completely agree with this. It would make the game far more diverse, and as they already have timer based missions and limits and such, it should not be difficult for them to script this sort of program into the game.

Good idea.

Mission name was an old design that was removed IIRC. Back when the maps were all static and all that, even before starchart 2.0 (currently is 3.0 btw).

Obviously, this is a very old design (star chart 1.0) and after much iteration, I can't remember correctly and could be wrong.

The node system was the old way to make players follow a path that snaked along different mission types.

If you make nodes dynamic, you don't need nodes anymore, and to unlock the map, I'd wait until Nodes are no longer Survival or Defense to make it easier Solo.

Also why stop there? Why not remove the Solar map entirely? Just make a pull down menu Dungeon Defenders style, pick level, tileset, enemy type, and run whatever you want.

Where do you stop exactly?

Hmm I see your point. I always thought however that every node on the mission list is a specific location on the planet. Therefore Cassini will always be X,Y,Z and that will never change because who knows what the planet's state is. i.e Earth has small number of nodes because of the vast amount of radiation on it. Giving a reason for keeping the name of the node the same and ground it more into the universe :)
