S.T.M.P.D
YEEEAAAAAH. There's a really big game over there and I see no way it can go wrong. Granted, I don't really have the spare cash to put in a pledge, but damn! I mean, why bother playing anything else as a PC person? Warframe has been in development for a shorter time, sure, and is a bit more casual - but I hope Steve Sinclair's ambitions can get this game to a status where it can compete legitimately. I mean, damn. Edited October 19, 2014 by S.T.M.P.D
Acos
I imagine for similar reasons that I continued to play Warframe after Destiny came out.
Brahmastra
This reminds me of a few months ago. >DESTINY >DESTINY >DESTINY Yet I still see all these destiny fanboys playing warframe.

Neah
K. THX. BYE. But seriously, play whatever the heck you want as long as you enjoy it. :) May you find greater joys in Star Citizen. Thanatoasty
Star citizen and warframe cater to different kinds of player...one's a space flight sim, and the other's a space ninja flipout with birdlifters. I've had my eye on SC while I was a founder for warframe, I don't see anything wrong with enjoying both~

Probably will fall right on its face Indie project, backed up mostly by supporters (no idea about exact amount but pretty huge). Um, how is star citizen related to warframe ? So far it's glorified spacebattle and limited area to land, i imagine it will revolve around space battles and not TPS shooter thing. It received just over 40mil dollars in support from supporters. Here is why I will not play Star Citizen: -Requires initial fee -Requires monthly fee -Requires a good internet connection (something which I do not have, Warframe can be played with 50kb/s just fine even online with others whereas any other game pretty much can't)

TheLocalHentai
Two very different games and by the time Star Citizen comes out, Warframe will probably be so much more varied. With that said, I'm definitely spending much more time in SC than Warframe when it comes out.

Come on. As i recall there was alternative to this game, with starport system and smugling. Anyone knows the title? S.T.M.P.D
It's not that I want to leave - I don't! I just think that maybe some of the things in Star Citizen - giant-&#! walkable aroundable space ships - could be carried over to Warframe. I think Warframe can stand on its own. I doubt I'll have the money for Star Citizen anyway, it's a hardcore gamer's wet dream and no mistake. I'm personally just hoping Warframe, in its next couple years of development to a finished product, takes some cues for diversity.
GinKenshin
that game doesn't have the awesome, nice and creative DEvelopers and staff (specially Rebecca :3) so I'll pass...
DeltaFox13
Does Star Citizen let you pilot huge Battleships to duke it out with other Battleships in a glorious battle to the death? Or is it about rinky dink little one man fighters? If its got Battleships I may check it out. Either way its not Warframe. Warframe is magical space ninjas with (soon to be) wings. Star Citizen is about spaceships. Edited October 19, 2014 by bluedelta
S.T.M.P.D
It does have Chris Roberts, though. And giant battleships and alternatives to just shooting things - exploration, mercantilism, pirating, etc. Okay, let's change focus. What cues can Warframe take from Star Citizen in terms of features to make it even more awesome Edited October 19, 2014 by S.T.M.P.D
Brahmastra
Don't forget the outrageously priced "founder" packs. The ships and stuff are almost the same as Prime Access. O well we're just gonna have to get used to the founder stuff. Almost every game has it now with rather low to insane prices.
Evers
Lets see why i won't play Star Citizen and continue to play Warframe: 1. They are 2 different Games not a bit simmilar 2. I don't like SpaceSims that much 3. I don't think they will be able to keep all their promises 4. I don't like how much money they want for stuff (i mean over 90$ for one ship? seriously?) 5. Its Hyped way too much and what i saw so far wasn't that impressive (sure the graphics are good but the rest was meh) 6. and so on
noveltyhero
Don't forget the outrageously priced "founder" packs. Ohh yeah, wanted to avoid mentioning those since they don't seem necesary. To those who don't know, if you want to buy limited edition ships which do offer advantages to some degree you have to pay up quite a lot of money. By advantages I mean, base ship has 1 seat, your limited edition one has 2 seats which makes quite the difference because it means you do not have to sacrifice the ship's advantages for another ship which can carry more people if you need to. Just a small example but they add up which annoyed me quite a lot :/ I fear that game will end up bad, not because of quality but because of business model. It already received 40mil how much more do you need? O.o Okay this is pretty impressive, i imagine the scale of such title would need more money but a monthly fee? Come on. As i recall there was alternative to this game, with starport system and smugling. Anyone knows the title? My gripe is that it has a monthly fee AND initial pay, like TESO --->money grabz I know the game you are talking about, is it Starpoint Gemini 2? or X: Online Universe? Star Citizen is about spaceships. It doesn't for now but it is basically planning to be a full online space combat simulator MMO. I believe it is planning to be the "real" deal. Basically it will add a lot of things EVE Online did/does not have but also due to the way it is all planned it seems too perfect for me. They have planned it to be towards the end of EVE online's life and it seems to target a similar audience but more widely focused too due to combat and action it has. A very very good game but to me it is not worth it enough to justify a monthly cost which I could otherwise use for say Gym Membership ;) Not saying EVE is dead, but it just doesn't appeal to a lot of people anymore, also due to a very steep curve it has. S.T.M.P.D
Hello? Refocus here people. We don't need to rip on games that aren't ours. Point is wouldn't it be awesome to pilot actual Tenno battleships at some point, that sort of thing?

I think star citizen has potential to be one of the greatest game of this generation, but it also has the potential to be one of the biggest let downs in video game history. So ye not getting hyped yet.

All evidence points tot he Tenno being a small elite force that would operate alongside the actual army and navy.
